Thanksgiving is quickly approaching. Families will be together enjoying food, fellowship, and football. Every family celebrates a little differently and gatherings have different timelines. For us, about an hour after the feast was finished and an hour or so before dessert was served, the kids started to get restless. Now I have the perfect activity for them, they can make Caramel Apple Hand Pies to be enjoyed with the other desserts!
Yes, this recipe is something kids can make, with a little adult help. The kids will need help cutting the apple and of course, using the oven but they get to assemble the hand pies and later eat them! This simple recipe makes 8 hand pies but this recipe is easily doubled, tripled, or more depending on the size of your gathering.
