Last summer my friend Shanaka over at Mama Bee Does shared a delicious  Crock Pot Cobbler Recipe. I immediately pinned it to my “Recipes I want to try” board on Pinterest. Well, I have tried it…3 times to be exact 🙂 It has already become something my friends ask me to bring to their parties! It is one of my new, favorite easy recipes. I have tweaked the recipe a little bit to suit my tastes and I wanted to share it with you so you could enjoy it at your holiday gatherings.

: Crock Pot Apple Cobbler

Ingredients

  • 2 21oz cans of apple pie filling
  • 1 18.25 oz box of yellow cake mix
  • 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter-melted
  • 1 TBS vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp apple pie spice

Directions

  1. Pour the cans of apple pie filling into the crock pot.
  2. Sprinkle the apple pie spice on the apples and mix in with a spoon.
  3. In a medium bowl mix together the cake mix, butter and vanilla extract to form a dough.
  4. Crumble the dough on top of the apples-do not mix in.
  5. Put the lid on the crock pot and cook 2 hours on high or 4 hours on low.
  6. Serve in bowls with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

You can use any can of fruit you like…cherry, peach etc. If you do that just omit the apple pie spice.
