Happy Win it Wednesday Giveaway Linky Day! I hope your week is off to a great start. Mine has been crazy. On Sunday we re-launched our children’s ministries at our church…while our children’s pastor was on vacation! I was amazing!! All of the volunteers stepped up and the family’s love the new classes for their children. I am so proud of our team.
After my weekly Sunday afternoon nap, I saw on Facebook that my son, Aaron who was driving home to Florida from Tennessee for work, had to pull over multiple times for hail and tornado sirens going off!! That is a mother’s nightmare. He was fine and he is very weather smart. He once aspired to be a meteorologist and/or a storm chaser. He knew what to do and where to go to stay safe. He just arrived a few hours later than planned.
After Aaron arrived and we caught up for a bit he took a shower and headed to bed. As I was getting ready for bed, I had an allergy attack like I have never experienced before. It was like going to the beach during bad red tide. My throat got real scratchy, my eyes watered, and it was difficult to breathe. I tried to go to sleep but slept less than 3 hours total because of my allergies.
Monday morning we realized what set my allergies off, Aaron’s Irish Spring Bodywash. It has been banned from my house. I’ve had the bathroom windows open and I’ve been running my diffusers in other parts of the house just trying to clean the air. This stuff is more toxic than when both boys were going through their middle school Axe Body Spray phase!
Tuesday also kicked of fundraising season for the Christian radio stations I work for. This week we are raising funds for The Joy FM family of stations in Florida, Geogia, and Alabama. I’m out of the house working 5:30am-8:30pm each day so that has helped my allergic reaction.
