<p>I love spaghetti carbonara! I told you all about my love for it when I shared my Simple <strong><a href="https://themommaven.com/2017/05/simple-spaghetti-carbonara/">Spaghetti Carbonara </a></strong>recipe a while back. That recipe is still one of my all-time favorites. Ron likes it but complains that there isn&#8217;t enough meat in it, so today I bring you Simple Slow Cooker Chicken Carbonara with Linguine.</p>

<p>This is a knock off carbonara, as are most American carbonara, because it is made with jarred Alfredo sauce and bacon instead of Pecorino Romano, egg, guanicale (pork jowl), and black pepper. </p>



<p>This slow cooker chicken carbonara with linguine recipe starts by cooking your chicken in the slow cooker following my <strong><a href="https://themommaven.com/2014/05/easy-recipes-make-shredded-chicken-crock-pot/">recipe here</a></strong>. Instead of shredding the chicken after it has cooked for four hours, you chop it up. Then place the chicken pieces back in the slow cooker with the Alfredo sauce, black pepper, and cheese. Cook another 30 minutes on high to let the flavors meld and the cheese melt. During this time you can cook the pasta and the garlic bread and put everything together when it is ready.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>You may not know this but Sarasota, Florida has a large Amish population. Lucky for us, that means we have some wonderful Amish restaurants to enjoy. One thing I love about our Amish restaurants are all of the comfort foods they serve. One of my favorite dishes is Chicken and Noodles served on top of mashed potatoes. Yes, it is a carb addict&#8217;s dream and a health nut&#8217;s nightmare, but once in a while it is ok to indulge&#8230;right?</p>
<p>This recipe will feed about 8+ people and is great for bringing to potlucks. I made it for the two of us and we were eating it for days! Add a salad or some green veggies to round out this delicious meal. This recipe does take 7-8 hours to make so  plan ahead.</p>
