Last month I gave you a sneak peek into Mindbloom, a fun, simple, and effective interactive life game to help people improve their quality of life. I have been using the game for 3 weeks now and I wanted to report back to you about my experience with Mindbloom.

The history of Mindbloom: Two entrepreneurial dads, who happen to be the former executive producer of blockbuster game hits like F.E.A.R and Tron and a former Amazon executive, have created a life game on steroids that promises to rock the field of wellness and personal growth. Mindbloom’s goal is to put the power of behavioral science behind the social gaming phenomenon to inspire people to achieve their offline life priorities – health, lifestyle, career, creativity, relationships, finances, and spirituality. For example, in beta, they discovered that users are already experiencing a few everyday victories in the physical world such as calling their parents more, calmly responding to issues instead of blaming and criticizing their spouse, brewing their coffee to save money on lattes, and drinking 8 oz of water daily. The founders created the company during an Oprah moment (literally) after putting on a few “sympathy” pounds and realizing they were missing too many “daddy moments.”

The photo above is of my tree, as it looked this morning. In Mindbloom the leaves are your goals. Goals you have set in various life areas…career, relationships, creativity, spirituality, health, and more. I visit Mindbloom twice a day. In the morning I visit and spend a few minutes being inspired by either watching my personalized inspiration slide show (my online vision board) or by viewing community inspiration and adding new inspirational quotes, images and/or music to my slide show. By adding to my inspiration I receive sun points, when you achieve 100 sun points the sun nourishes your tree and gives it a healthy glow. Next I take a look at which goals I have scheduled to work on today. I have some goals that occur every day and others that-due to my schedule are scheduled for specific days of the week. If I have already complete some of the goals I mark them off, otherwise I just remind myself what today’s goal are so that I can incorporate them into my day. Then at the end of the day I visit Mindbloom again and and check off the goals that I accomplished-which adds rain points to my cloud. When I achieve 100 rain points my cloud waters my tree and makes it sparkle.

Your Mindbloom goals can be simple things like drink water, take a walk, spend one-on-one time with your child, write a to-do list-or more involved things move money into the vacation account, write a thought provoking article, read a chapter in the Bible. The goals can be customized to exactly what you need in your life right now!

I have enjoyed my 3 weeks on Mindbloom, and I have seen growth in some areas of my life and that small dark brown leaf on my tree is my lifestyle leaf for “reading for pleasure” which is something I haven’t done in 2 weeks and I need to do…today! The game itself is easy to use and easy to customize. The joy of Mindbloom is you make it what you need it to be. Mindbloom is also social, you are not the only tree in the forest. You can set your privacy settings however you want and your friends can comment on your journal entries and even give you gifts of sunshine or rain for your tree to help encourage you along! In my opinion, the only downside of Mindbloom is that they don’t have an app-you just use the mobile website which is limited but not terrible, I’d be happier if there was an Android app available. The game is free but…there are premium features available and I am giving away 5 lifetime premium GrowPro packages ($89 value) he GrowPro package provides access to premium content, rewards, and more.

I love games, goal setting and self-improvement. Well there is a new website that combines all of those things…and much more. That website is Mindbloom.com. Just launched this week, Mindbloom is a fun, simple, and effective interactive life game to help people improve their quality of life. No offense to Farm Town and Bejeweled, but Mindbloom is about enhancing real lives, not virtual worlds and the company is taking a new approach to inspire people to define what’s important, discover what motivates them, and take meaningful daily actions in all areas of their life. Mindbloom is about helping anyone grow the life they want in a few minutes a day.

Here is a bit of a video intro to Mindbloom.

I’ve just started my free Mindbloom account and so far I really like the interface-it is clean and easy to use. I am going to use the site for a few weeks and then I’ll give you a full review. At that time I’ll also be holding a giveaway for some of the premium features in Mindbloom. So, go to Mindbloom.com and get started growing your life. Make sure you add me as a friend (Cindy Schultz) and then keep checking back for that review and giveaway.
