I have actually seen several tutorials for Vegetable Dyed Easter Eggs this year. The best post I found is this one from TinkerLab. The post includes some great photos as part of the how-to section. Instead of just making solid colored eggs she also includes several ways to embellish the eggs during the dying process.

We actually made Silk Dyed Easter Eggs a few years ago. I even wrote a blog post about it. Unfortunately, at the time I was using an online slide show to host my blog photos and the site closed and I lost everything! It also left a lot of empty spots in old blog posts. Anyway, we had a lot of fun making these with my nephew using a bunch of my dad’s old ties. Our Best Bites has a great tutorial with lots of pictures to help you make some very unique Easter eggs.

I love the look of these Decoupaged Easter Eggs. These eggs have three main components to making them: 1. dye the eggs 2. punch out the shapes 3. decoupage. Overall the process isn’t too difficult and I’m sure kids ages 6+ would love to make these eggs. You can even use different shaped mini punches to decorate with.
