When my kids were well…kids we used to dye Easter eggs on Good Friday. We would always have a home day on Good Friday, discussing what the day was about, spending time in prayer and listening to worship music. It was never an official homeschool day for us because for us it was a religious holiday. We often liked to try new and unique was to dye our eggs so I thought I’d create a round up post of some of the ways I have found on Pinterest to dye eggs.

4 ways to dye beautiful Easter eggs without a kit

Vegetable Dyed Easter Eggs I have actually seen several tutorials for Vegetable Dyed Easter Eggs this year. The best post I found is this one from TinkerLab. The post includes some great photos as part of the how-to section. Instead of just making solid colored eggs she also includes several ways to embellish the eggs during the dying process.
Silk Dyed Easter Egg We actually made Silk Dyed Easter Eggs a few years ago. I even wrote a blog post about it. Unfortunately, at the time I was using an online slide show to host my blog photos and the site closed and I lost everything! It also left a lot of empty spots in old blog posts. Anyway, we had a lot of fun making these with my nephew using a bunch of my dad’s old ties. Our Best Bites has a great tutorial with lots of pictures to help you make some very unique Easter eggs.
Marbled Easter Eggs If you plan on making Deviled Eggs for your Easter celebration, you HAVE to use Marbeled Easter Eggs! After finding this recipe for Marbled Easter Eggs I’m thinking I might have to make Deviled Eggs to bring to the church Palm Sunday picnic! MomLuck does a great job of showing us how to make these beautiful eggs.
decoupaged Easter eggs I love the look of these Decoupaged Easter Eggs. These eggs have three main components to making them: 1. dye the eggs 2. punch out the shapes 3. decoupage. Overall the process isn’t too difficult and I’m sure kids ages 6+ would love to make these eggs. You can even use different shaped mini punches to decorate with. This post from DesignMom shows how she made these beautiful eggs.

i hope I was able to give you some new and creative ways to dye Easter Eggs this year. Happy Easter!

Those look like a lot of fun, my daughter keeps asking when we are going to dye eggs. Maybe we can spend a few days trying out all these neat techniques.

What great ideas. Those eggs are beautiful. We just did the same old way of dyeing the eggs this year, but maybe next year we’ll try something else. Thanks for linking up with the Bloggers Brags Pinterest Party. I have pinned your post to the Bloggers Brags Pinterest Board!

Tammy, we did the marbled eggs on Saturday. They are beautiful but they were very labor intensive!
