We were running out of Mushu’s favorite treats so we were happy to see that her favorite brand, Rachel Ray Nutrish, had a product available for review this month. I love feeding Mushu anything from the Rachel Ray Nutrish line because I trust the brand. Mushu is on a grain-free diet and I trust the ingredients will be safe for her to consume. Mushu is a smaller dog so she does better when we rip these meaty soft treats in half before giving them to her. I know Mushu thinks these treats are special because she doesn’t gobble them up. When she wants to savor a treat she takes it to her bed or her blankets on the couch and eats it in small nibbles or buries it until the time is just right. That is exactly what she does when we give her the Rachel Ray Nutrish Meatball Morsels. We will be getting these again from Chewy.com to keep Mushu happy.

Mushu Tries Nutro Ultra Lamb, Chickpea & Tomato Recipe Adult Grain-Free Dog Food

Mushu can be a very picky eater. To find a grain-free dog food that she likes isn’t always easy so we usually stick with what we know works. This month I received the Nutro Ultra Lamb, Chickpea & Tomato Recipe Adult Grain-Free Dry Dog Food free of charge from Chewy.com in exchange for an honest review. Mushu has been acting funny the last few weeks, spending the majority of her day in her kennel back in Jordan’s bedroom. I wonder if she senses that he will be moving out next week. Thankfully, the day the Chewy.com box arrived she was actually out on the sofa. I opened the bag of grain-free dog food and set it near her to see if I could get a reaction from her.

She sniffed and sniffed at the bag but when I took a few morsels out she ignored them. We started to introduce the new food to her by adding it to her dinner along with her regular dry dog food for a few days. Then eventually the only dry food she got was the Nutro Ultra Lamb, Chickpea & Tomato Recipe Adult Grain-Free Dry Dog Food. She has been eating that ever since. She seems to like it! Mushu Loves Her Blue Buffalo Sizzlers

Mushu loves bacon. Ron always cooks her some of her own when he makes bacon for breakfast. The other day I brought home a breakfast sandwich with bacon on it when I came home from working out and she smelled the bacon the second I walked in the door. Recently I had seen a commercial for Blue Buffalo Sizzlers and thought, “I need to get those for Mushu.” Then a few days later I had the opportunity to have Mushu review them through our partnership with Chewy.com! Such a blessing. These dog treats get Mushu’s tail a-wagging, I’m sure your pup will love them too.

These are not grain-free, which makes me a little sad because we have Mushu on a mostly grain-free diet due to allergies. Mushu hasn’t been the biggest fan of other Blue Buffalo products that we have tried, so I was a bit leery about trying the Blue Buffalo Wilderness Trail Treats. I chose them because they are 100% grain free, they are turkey, and they have hundreds of 5 star reviews on Chewy.com. Thankfully, my apprehension was all for naught. From the moment I opened the package, her nose was going and she wanted to know what was in the bag. As you’ll see below, I couldn’t even get a good picture of her with the treat because she snagged it off the couch and took it down to her bed to enjoy.

Mushu’s Thoughts

When I opened the bag of Tylee’s Jerky treats Mushu’s nose started going right away, she could smell the meaty goodness. When I gave her the treat, she did her usual sniff, lick, and then consume. I was a bad mom and gave it to her pre-walk and breakfast but she didn’t complain about getting an extra treat. Sometimes Mushu hides her treats for a while before eating them, but not this one, she gobbled her Tylee’s Jerky Treats right up.

As Mushu’s mom, I love the fact that I know this is a human-grade food product made right here in the USA. This protein snack is a great supplement to her grain-free diet.

Newman’s Own Snack Sticks for Dogs

Recently Mushu had to go to the vet for her annual shots. She knew something was up when Ron brought her kennel out of the bedroom. Mushu doesn’t like strange animals so we always bring her in her kennel. Ron put her in the kennel and then they left in his truck. When they returned home he said Mushu did great and she is now up-to-date on her shots and she is healthy. I decided she deserved a treat for being so good so I pulled out the Newman’s Own Snack Sticks that she received from Chewy.com to see how she liked them.

As is her usual method of operation, Mushu smelled the package even before I opened it. When I took the Snack Stick out of the package she sniffed it, then licked it, then ignored it. Sometimes she doesn’t like big snacks so I tore off a small piece and she gobbled it right up. Then I have her the rest of the Snack Stick and she took it from me and ate it right up. Yay!

Mushu’s New Goodies from Chewy

This month Mushu was blessed with not one, but two goodies from Chewy.com. One she loves and the other she refuses to try! She is such a picky dog, she likes her meat and cheese but she isn’t a fan of many fruits.

Our Thoughts on the Flexi Leash

Ron does most of the dog walking in our family, but I help out when it isn’t too hot outside. I walked her with her new flexi leash the other day and it worked well. I especially like how the one handed braking system works quickly and efficiently. Mushu doesn’t like bicycles and strollers and will chase them when we are out walking. Rachel Ray Nutrish Soup Bones Review

Now that we are smack dab in the middle of the holiday season I want to remind you that your pets love presents too. Mushu’s favorite gifts are plush squeaky toys while Aaron’s dog, Bailey destroys every toy she gets within 24 hours. Both dogs like treats but Mushu is picky and Bailey east just about everything. I got the Rachel Ray Nutrish Soup Bones from Chewy.com for Mushu to try. The description says they are for all size dogs but as soon as I saw them I knew they were too big for Mushu.

I brought the Nutrish Soup Bones to our Schultz family Thanksgiving celebration because I knew Aaron was bringing Bailey. Bailey thoroughly enjoyed this treat and Aaron took the rest of the package home for her to enjoy.
