Who doesn’t like a super simple dinner that keeps the whole family happy? I know I do. Busy weeknights with homework, sports, and music lessons can make it difficult to sit down together as a family and eat dinner. Family meal time has always been a priority with us and it usually happens at least 5 nights a week. This Super Simple Crockpot Pulled Chicken Recipe is a set it and forget it type of meal, until the last half hour of cooking time. I love that it can be cooking while we are busy and once we get home I can finish it up, pull together a few side dishes, and within 30 minutes of walking in the door I can have a delicious meal on the table.

Last week in my Buffalo Chicken Tater Tot Casserole recipe I told you all about Moore’s Sauces and Marinades so click on over if you want to know more about them. I made this meal in my brand new hOmelabs 6 qt slowcooker. The know on my old faithful crockpot that I received as a wedding gift almost 26 years ago broke so it was time to go digital. The budget was tight so I opted for this slow cooker because when the cooking time is completed it goes into the “warm” mode after 10 minutes. We all know that sometimes we don’t make it home at the exact time we thought we would. This slow cooker has your back, Mom.

Course: Entree
Cuisine: American
Servings: 6 -12 servings
Author: Moore's Marinades and Sauces
Ingredients
  • 6 Boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 bottle Moore's Honey BBQ Sauce divided
  • Hamburg Buns
Instructions
  1. Pour water in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  3. Pour 1/2 bottle of Moore's Honey BBQ Sauce over the chicken.
  4. Cook on low for 5 hours.
  5. Remove cover and shred the chicken. **See the blog post for an easy way to do this.
  6. Add the rest of the sauce to the pulled chicken, mix well, let cook for 30 more minutes.
  7. Serve on buns.

***How to easily shred meat*** Use a handheld electric mixer on the low setting. Place the mixer in the crockpot and let it shred the meat for you in seconds! I saw this tip several times on Facebook so I decided to try it and it works great! I’ve done it a few times now.
