Over the years I have learned that people do Christmas stocking stuffers in different ways. My mother still does a Christmas stocking for every member of the family and they are all pretty much the same. Our Christmas stockings are filled with toiletries, some candy, and a silly little toy or two. We all joke with her when we need to buy Q-tips in the fall because we know she already has her stash in the closet already wrapped ready to go in our stockings. We also often get shampoo, conditioner, lip balm, moisturizer, etc along with our favorite Christmas candy, and bubbles, glow sticks, or some other fun toy she found at Dollar Tree. That is our family’s tradition. When my kids were young I filled stocking for them with candy, crayons, coloring books, and hot wheels. Some families put small but expensive gifts in their Christmas stockings. What do you put in your Christmas stockings?

Stocking Stuffers for Ages 16+

By the time we hit our teen years all the way through adulthood the stocking stuffers can be hard to come by. I am of the mindset that stocking stuffers shouldn’t cost too much and they should be fun or quirky. I’ve come across some great stocking stuffers in recent months so I thought I’d share my finds with you!

Mind Stretchers Puzzle Books-ACTIVATE your thinking muscles. It’s too easy just to turn on the TV and let the images of the day wash over us, leaving brain cells unchallenged and a bit sad. Keep your brain happy with this mind stretching collection of puzzles. Crosswords, word searches, trivia, logic and numerical games—these teasers are all designed to inspire and stimulate the mind. So turn off the dreaded box and turn to Mind Stretchers—you’ll be entertained, learn new things, wake up your brain and it’s definitely more fun than watching the news.

Emergency Multi Tool – After a bad car accident a few seconds can mean the difference between life and death for you and your loved ones. This emergency multi tool helps you to escape quickly after a car accident. Many people fear wearing a seat belt in case they were to be trapped in a burning or sinking vehicle. Electric windows do not work without power and would need to be shattered so you could escape. The surgically sharp blade effortlessly cuts through a tangled seat belt (recessed for safety), the pointed steel head (with red plastic protective cover) shatters windows with ease. Simply keep it in your glove box or emergency kit.

Sizzling Bacon Candy-We’re all used to everything tasting like bacon, but this candy turns your mouth into a frying pan. Sprinkle a generous portion of the chunks of bacon-flavored candy on your tongue and they will begin to sizzle and crack just like a slice of bacon preparing for breakfast.
