A perfect tool for busy moms, Goby.com (pronounced GO-be) is a new one-of-the-kind search engine that helps you find fun new ways to spend your free time. It searches more than 300 different categories of “things to do” from zoos and aquariums to playgrounds and children’s museums.

Goby is simple to use it poses three questions: What, Where and When. By just answering two of the three questions, you can instantly receive an easy-to-read results page that includes not only detailed information about attractions, activities, locations and events, but also an interactive map and photos from sites like Google and Flickr. I spent some time playing on Goby and I found lots of things to do in my town. I found bike trails, museums and family events that would be a lot of fun for my family.

Goby wants one lucky reader of The Mom Maven to be able to plan a fun family day for their family. Goby is giving away $50 to spend on your fun family day.

    I did a search for Family Fun in the Family & Kids category near us. I found the Harlem Globetrotters will be in Charlotte, NC this March.

    I’m actually very surprised that I found a family and kids event(2 actually!) where we live. Its in March but not expensive and looks like we might have some fun out there….Yay!!!

    I searched for family and kids events in North Carolina and learned there is a “wilderness jeopardy” game with prizes this weekend.

    Fun, I searched for a children’s museum in our area and it came up with one that I did not even know about! It’s the Oregon Electric Railway Historical Society. My daughter loves trains so this would be great!

    I didn’t know about Goby. Great find. I live about 10 minutes from Bethel Woods (The site of the 1969 Woodstock concert) Just learned that Ringo Starr will be there on June 26. That would be a fun show to see.

    I found lots of fun things to do with my kids here where I live. This is a great site and I will be using it when we travel. We are in the airline business and will take our kids to random places. I am always looking for things to do that would make the trip fun for them. Thanks.
