I’ve always wanted to ring in the new year at Walt Disney World. I know it is crazy crowded and I’d have to arrive early just to make sure I can get into the park of my choice. I had a friend there last year and she sent me pictures of people napping or reading on benches mid-day just to secure their spots. I still think that with the right mindset, it would be magical to ring in the new year in one of the parks.

Ring in 2015 at Walt Disney World

Here is an overview of the holiday happenings at each park for New Year’s Eve 2014:

Magic Kingdom

Park hours 8:00am-2:00am with Extra Magic Hours 7:00am-8:00am
In addition to regularly scheduled entertainment, these shows and events are also taking place- **entertainment subject to change without notice**

  • #INCREDIBLESSuperDanceParty in Tomorrowland 10am-4pm
  • Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade noon, 3:30pm
  • Celebrate the Season Show 2:50pm, 4:20pm, 5:20pm, 8:00pm and 9:00pm
  • A Frozen Holiday Wish 6:15pm and 7:30pm
  • A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas 6:30pm, 9:20pm, 10:20pm, and 11:20pm
  • Main Street Electrical Parade 6:30pm
  • Holiday Wishes 7:30pm
  • Celebrate the Magic 8:15pm and 11:35pm
  • Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks 11:50pm

In the Magic Kingdom, Tomorrowland Terrace will feature a New Year’s Eve fireworks dessert party twice on December 31.

Epcot

Park hours Future World 8:00am-1:00am World Showcase 9:00am-1:00am
In addition to regularly scheduled entertainment, these shows and events are also taking place- **entertainment subject to change without notice**

  • IlluniNations Reflections of Earth 6:00pm,
  • New Year’s Countdown Fireworks 11:40pm

At Epcot World Showcase, Biergarten Restaurant in Germany is offering both lunch and dinner celebrations; La Hacienda de San Angel in Mexico is offering a New Year’s Eve dinner; Le Cellier Steakhouse in Canada has three seatings, and Monsieur Paul in France starts celebrating at 11:45 a.m. with seatings throughout the day and evening.  The World ShowPlace pavilion also will host a custom dinner package.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Park hours 8:00am-12:00am Extra Magic Hours 12:00am-2:00am
In addition to regularly scheduled entertainment, these shows and events are also taking place- **entertainment subject to change without notice**

  • Comedy Warehouse Holiday Special 2:00pm, 3:00pm, 4:00pm,  5:00pm, 7:00pm, 8:00pm, 9:00pm, 10:00pm and 11:00pm
  • Osborne Spectacle of Dancing Lights 6:00pm-12:00am
  • Fantasmic! 6:30pm, 8:00pm, 10:00pm
  • New Year’s Eve Fireworks featuring Mulch, Sweat and Shears 12:00am

At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Hollywood & Vine will host a special holiday dinner buffet.

    WOW, why have I never thought of bringing in the New Year at Disney??? What a great idea. Now where? Magic Kingdom? Epcot? or Disney Hollywood Studio’s??? Much to think about. Thanks for the idea.
