At the beginning of Summer Disney launched an awesome new FREE app for the iPhone called “Story”. The app allows you to easily create digital scrapbooks of the stories of your life, based on the photos you take on your iPhone. If you want to read a full review of how the app works check out this post on MousePlanet.  Here is the official trailer video for the app from Disney.

Disney story appI downloaded the app onto my iPhone 4S before a recent trip to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I took lots of pictures during the Voyage of the Little Mermaid show so I could try out the app. I created this digital photo album in less than 5 minutes!

Your stories are stored in your account on the Story website. You can share them via social media, email them or embed them in a blog post as I did here. Due to the nature of the story I chose to tell I didn’t add a lot of captions to my story but that is very easy to do. I can easily see a family enjoying a day in a Disney park, shooting pictures on their iPhone and then while relaxing at their resort that evening, creating a Story and sharing it with friends and family the day it happened. of course, you can use Story for non-Disney events too 🙂

Have you tried out the Story app? What are your thoughts? Leave me a comment and let me know.
