Last year at this time our life was a flurry of activity, my oldest son Aaron was graduating high school. I know this is a huge occasion in most families but for us it seemed ginormous! You see Aaron has been homeschooled by my husband and I since we started pre-K at age 3. Now 14 years later it felt like we were all graduating. We participated in 2 homeschool graduation ceremonies, one with our school covering where there were 3 graduates and one with our homeschool support group where there were 21 graduates. Both graduation ceremonies focused on both the student’s accomplishments and the love, dedication and sacrifice of the parents. They were both very meaningful…and tearful.

It is hard to imagine that next year at this time we will be back in the graduation whirlwind as my baby graduates high school and brings to a close our family’s 16 year homeschooling journey. As the saying goes, “Time flies when you’re having fun.” Congratulations to the class of 2011!

If you are in that whirlwind of graduation planning, don’t forget to check out Tiny Prints for all your stationery needs.

I will be graduating from college next year. So, I guess I’ll have to buy some invitations for that. Ahh! Graduation sounds lovely at this point.

My niece is graduating the 27th of this month. She is beyond excited. I don’t know who she used for announcements and all that but as up to date as she is on stuff its probably something snazzy like Tiny Prints.

Graduation time is filled with happy memories for me and for my daughters. One’s all done and one has more to go. I agree that a homeschooling family gets to celebrate along with the graduate!
