When I was asked to review Guy Kawasaki’s new book Enchantment: The Art of Changing Hearts, Minds, and ActionsI felt honored to be asked. Now that I have read the book I have concluded that I am not worthy of the honor nor will I be able to do this book justice. I will however, do my best because I want to make Guy proud of me. To be clear up front, I did receive a copy of the book for the purpose of this review. No money has or will change hands. (See Guy, I’m learning-disclose up front.)

We all wear many hats and when I read a “business” book I read it with 2 hats on my business owner hat and my ministry leader hat. I have learned that many very good business books translate well to the ministry real and Enchantment definitely does that. Whether you are looking to take your business or ministry to new heights I recommend you read this book.

This book is an easy, engaging read that is deeper than it first appears and will surely require multiple readings as I move towards deeper levels of enchantment in my own life. Guy explains why our goal should be to influence those around us more than persuade them and do it all while maintaining the highest ethical standards. In the book Guy covers everything from your smile, wardrobe, email, Twitter and much, much more.

Here is a quick peek into the Art of Enchantment: If anything here piques your curiosity…buy the book!

I know I want to be more enchanting, I want my business to be more enchanting and I want my church to be more enchanting so I will re-read this book, share it with my husband for our family business and I’ve already spoken to my boos/pastor about teaching from it in our staff meetings. I am working to apply what I have learned and share it with others to help them be more enchanting also. Do you think you’re already enchanting enough? Take Guy’s Enchantment Quiz. I scored a 16 out of 23 and according to Guy I am You’re ready to change hearts, minds, and actions. 🙂 If you take the quiz, leave your score in the comments! You can also follow Guy Kawasaki on Twitter and you can Like Enchantment on Facebook too! Get involved and become a more enchanting you!

What an interesting book. I had the priviledge of hearing him speak at a convention – very inspiring.
