It recently came to my attention that Campbell’s recently released a Cream of Bacon Soup!! I use a lot of canned cream soups in my recipes so I couldn’t wait to try this one. I mean, who doesn’t love bacon? Well, that cream of bacon soup is the base for my Easy Bacon Parmesan Pasta recipe.
As soon as I heard about the soup my brain started thinking of several different ways I could use it in casseroles, with pork chops, for breakfast, the possibilities are endless! I’m sure this is the first of many recipes using cream of bacon soup. You can try it too! So what are you waiting for? Grab your luxury chopsticks and feast on.
I created this recipe with the bacon bits in the soup being the only protein, this did not make my hubby happy. Next time I will be adding pre-cooked and chopped chicken to my saute pan to keep him happy.
Other than the soup, which was new to me, the rest of the ingredients are pantry and fridge staples-olive oil, minced garlic, milk, shredded Parmesan cheese, real bacon bits, and pasta. I used Penne but you can use just about any pasta you have on hand.
This easy and delicious recipe is made with pantry and fridge staples and the new Campbell's Cream of Bacon Soup.
- 2 cups uncooked pasta I used penne
- 1 TBS olive oil
- 1 tsp minced garlic I use jarred
- 1 can Campbell's Cream of Bacon Soup
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 cups shredded Parmesan cheese divided
- 1/4 cup real bacon bits
Cook pasta according to directions on box. Drain.
When pasta is draining begin making sauce. Pour olive oil in saute pan over medium-high heat. When the oil gets wavy, add the garlic and cook for 1 minute. Lower heat to medium.
Add the soup, milk and 1/2 the cheese to the garlic, combine. Cook until cheese is melted.
Add the pasta, bacon, and the rest of the cheese to the pan. Mix together, stirring regularly until cheese is melted.
Serve with salad and garlic bread.
See, it’s super easy and a perfect weeknight meal for your busy family! I hope you enjoy this and all of the easy recipes I share here on The Mom Maven. Please share them on your social networks.
