Last week I shared with you the White Chocolate Cranberry Bars that I made for the Friend Day picnic at church. I also made my Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars for that picnic. I’m also glad that I kept a few of these bar cookies at home with me because when I went through the dessert line, they were already gone! I guess I’m not the only one who can’t pass up a good chocolate chip cookie. This recipe is really just an easier way to make chocolate chip cookies so I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

These Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars are and easier way to make Chocolate Chip Cookies from scratch, especially when you are crunched for time.

Ingredients
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 sticks butter softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 12 oz Nestle Semi-sweet Chocolate Morsels
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375°.
  2. Grease a 15x10" jelly roll pan
  3. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl.
  4. Beat butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl.
  5. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  6. Gradually beat in flour mixture.
  7. Stir in morsels.
  8. Spread onto prepared pan.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
  10. Cool on wire rack.
  11. Cut into bars.
