Happy Win it Wednesday Giveaway Linky Day from Walt Disney World! April Fools! Of, course, we are home sheltering place just like everyone else. I never was good at April Fools jokes and that’s all I could come up with.
So, how are you doing? We are doing fine, though my husband ran out of work to do last Friday. He repairs band and orchestra instruments as well as sound systems etc. Schools are closed, performances have been canceled and the few repairs he does have to do, he can’t get parts because all of his suppliers are currently shut down.
I’m still making a little money from my blog and I have at least one more paycheck coming from the Fine Arts Academy I teach at. Last week we started virtual classes using Zoom. I hate it but it’s what we can do for now. This week is the last week of lessons that have already been paid for so our administration needs to make decisions about moving forward virtually or putting a pause on this season.
I’d hate to pause, especially for the dance and musical theatre students. They have worked all school year long for their recitals and productions. To have the year fizzle out would be sad, not to mention the fact that I’m on the tech team for all of those performances and that income helps us get through our normally slow summer months.
My fourth stream of income is a subcontractor in phone central for the fundraisers held by the Christian radio stations in the RTN family. During this time, fundraising has been put on hold. Hence, so have my hours and paychecks. My fifth stream of income is my Young Living Essential Oil business. Unfortunately in this time of crisis, some of my regular customers have decided essential oils aren’t essential…which they are. They are essential to the health and wellness of my family as well as to the cleanliness of my home.
Thankfully, we have put our trust in God 100%. He has promised to never leave us or forsake us. He is our provider and we will not fear!
