Happy Wednesday! It is YEX week around here, which means I won’t see my “kids” all week. YEX is Youth Explosion, a Christian youth camp help at Christian Retreat every summer. Aaron, my oldest has been working tech at this camp for many years. For the past few years his title has been Technical Director and Front of House Tech. That means he is in charge of all technical aspects ie lighting, sound and special effects and he runs the sound for the congregation. Several years ago when Aaron needed a new lighting guy, he trained his brother Jordan. Jordan has now helped with lighting across the country and it is a main duty of his job as Technical Director at a local church. For YEX he is Lighting Director, a job he is passionate about. My daughter-in-law, Summer, is the hostess for the youth pastor’s lounge this year. Her very important job is to bless the youth pastors who bring their kids to camp.
