Last week I shared with you the White Chocolate Cranberry Bars that I made for the Friend Day picnic at church. I also made my Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars for that picnic. I’m also glad that I kept a few of these bar cookies at home with me because when I went through the dessert line, they were already gone! I guess I’m not the only one who can’t pass up a good chocolate chip cookie. This recipe is really just an easier way to make chocolate chip cookies so I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 sticks butter softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar packed
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 12 oz Nestle Semi-sweet Chocolate Morsels
- Preheat oven to 375°.
- Grease a 15x10" jelly roll pan
- Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl.
- Beat butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Gradually beat in flour mixture.
- Stir in morsels.
- Spread onto prepared pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
- Cool on wire rack.
- Cut into bars.
