I missed last week’s Mamavation post because I spent all day in airports and airplanes! The short story of that is…I am too frugal to spend $70 on a shuttle to take me to the Asheville Airport from Type-A Mom Conference, so I rode with my friends in their rental car…for free. The problem being they had to be at the airport by 9:30am and my flight didn’t leave til 4:30pm. Oh well, I figured I’d get some work done at the airport but the wi-fi was really glitchy so I mostly read my book. Due to Monday being the 2nd day of bad weather in Atlanta most flights out of Asheville to Atlanta were delayed a few hours.Lucky for me there was a Subway in the Asheville so I didn’t have to eat my lunch out of a vending machine! I finally got to Atlanta and them my flight to Tampa was delayed over 2 hours and we sat on the plane at the gate for an hour because we didn’t have a pilot! I finally arrived home at 1:15am on Tuesday! So, that is why I missed last week’s Mamavation Monday.

10-4-10 I am very excited to say that I am down 2 pounds in the last 2 weeks to a new low of 225! I think that is great, especially in light of all the delicious Little Debbie treats I consumes at Type-A Mom! Granted, it has taken me 6 months to lose 13 pounds but a loss is a loss. Today I finally get my “normal” schedule back after a crazy summer and a September filled with travel. I will be continuing my water intake, healthier eating and getting in 2-3 days of exercise a week.

How are you doing? Hoe did you do last week? What are your goals for this week? Leave me a comment and let me know.

Congrats on the loss! It’s taken me this whole year to lose 6 pounds, so I know exactly how you feel! I’m sure you’re exhausted from all that traveling, but once you get back into the swing of things it’ll start getting even better. Have a great week!

I think I would have curled up and cried at those delays. I do not travel well. At all. Glad there were options for you at the airport (Yay Subway!) Have a great week getting back into routine!

So lucky that a subway was nearby! Hate to hear about the delays – I don’t travel often but nowadays we usually drive where we are going and take our travel trailer so I’m not sure which is worse LOL! I’m so happy to hear about your loss too! What a great feeling to be a new “low” and I mean that in a good way. Have an AWESOME week!

OH – my goals – to breath… sleep more than 4 hours a night… and keep making choices about food and fitness that make me happy. 🙂

You’re right — a loss is a loss! And congrats on yours and your new low. 🙂

I’m focusing on running this week — I signed up for a January 5K and have GOT to get ready for it.
