Aunt Lynette's Mostaccioli

Ingredients

  • 16 oz box of Mostaccioli
  • 1.5 lbs ground beef
  • 45 oz jar of spaghetti sauce divided
  • 11 oz can condensed cheddar cheese soup
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese divided

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pasta according to the package directions; rinse and drain

  2. In a skillet, cook and crumble the ground beef until browned; drain

  3. In a large bowl combine the ground beef, 30oz spaghetti sauce, soup, pepper and Italian spices. Stir to combine well.

  4. Now add the cooked pasta and 2 cups of the shredded cheese to the sauce mixture.

  5. Transfer it all to a greased 4 quart baking dish or 13×9 pan

  6. Top with 8oz spaghetti sauce

  7. Sprinkle remaining 1 cup of shredded cheese over the top.

  8. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.

Recipe Notes

The extra 7oz of spaghetti sauce may be saved for a future meal.
