How to make strawberry sauce.

Strawberry Sauce

Strawberry Sauce can be used in several different ways including over ice cream, cakes, pancakes and waffles.

  • 4 cups Strawberries fresh or frozen
  • 3/4 cups Sugar
  • 2 tsp Almond Extract
  • 2 tsp water


  1. Wash strawberries, remove the stems and cut into quarters.
  2. Place strawberry pieces into a medium pot.
  3. Add sugar, almond extract and water to the strawberries.
  4. Place pot over medium heat.
  5. Stir constantly.
  6. Allow strawberries to simmer 5-8 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  8. When completely cool, pour strawberry mixture into the blender and pulverize.
  9. If necessary strain strawberry sauce through cheesecloth to remove seeds.
  10. Store in air tight container 1 week in refrigerator or 3 months in freezer.
