Mac Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 lb pasta elbow macaroni, small shells, spiral etc
  • 8-16 oz sour cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp celery powder

Instructions

  1. In a large pan. boil pasta according to package directions.
  2. Drain pasta and run under cold water.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together sour cream, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and celery powder.**NOTE Start by adding 8oz sour cream. If salad seems too dry add more. I used large bowtie pasts because I had it on hand and I think because of the size of the pasta, my salad needed 16 oz of sour cream.
  4. Add cooled pasta and mix well.
  5. When pasta is coated with sour cream mixtures, add Parmesan cheese and mix well.
  6. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.

Recipe Notes

Add in vegetables if desired
