Win It Wednesday Giveaway Linky 10-7-20

Happy Win it Wednesday Giveaway Linky Day and Happy October! I hope your month is off to a great start. We actually had fall-like weather last week here in Florida, this week we are back up in the low 90s but soon, fall will be here to stay.

So, Sunday on the way home from church we got into a car accident. The road our church is on has a sweeping 90° curve at one end, there are lots of warning and flashing lights to warn you to slow down. A 17yo girl took the turn too fast, on wet roads and hydroplaned. Then the tires locked onto the pavement and she overcorrected into our lane. Thankfully Ron saw it happening and slowed down as much as he could. She hit the front passenger side of my Ford Escape with the passenger side rear wheel well of her Toyota Corolla. Praise the Lord, no one was injured, but we needed an auto glass repair.

We waited 3 1/2 hours and the Florida Highway Patrol never came! The girl’s dad came and stayed with her. He filed a claim with his insurance and since their story agreed with ours, a tow truck took her car away and we received the info we needed to take my SUV to get repaired. At about 4 hours after the accident and call to 911 someone from the Florida Highway Patrol called me to see if we were still at the accident site! I told him, “No, we gave up waiting at 3 1/2 hours and then let him talk to Ron since he was driving at the time off the accident.

Monday we dropped my Escape off to be repaired. We should hear sometime today about how long they think the repair will take and what it will entail. In the meantime, I’m driving a sweet brand new, had 430 miles on it when I got it, Jeep Compass with all the bells and whistles. It’s fun to drive and see how fancy cars have gotten.
