It&#8217;s the new year and we are all trying to get healthier. I&#8217;ve been using Jimmy Pena&#8217;s PrayFit workout for the last two weeks as part of my #healthynewyear campaign. This is a great, well-rounded workout you can do at home. I did go out and buy some 2 pond dumb bells to use with this program and boy does adding a little bit of weight make a big difference in my workout.</p>

<h2>My Thoughts</h2>
<p>I&#8217;m pretty much a beginner when it comes to this kind of workout. I like that Jimmy does a great job of explaining how to do each exercise and I can watch Haley for how to modify the exercises for my beginner status. The workout systematically focuses on each area of your body and does so in only 33 minutes. This workout hasn&#8217;t been easy for me, but I am getting better every day. I LOVE the spiritual concepts Jimmy weaves into the workout, reminding us that we are the stewards of our bodies and we must take good care of them. There are also mini-devotionals on the DVD call &#8220;PrayFit Minutes&#8221; which are nice tidbits to help you focus on giving your best effort. Jimmy&#8217;s tagline for PrayFit is, &#8220;In Jesus&#8217; name we train&#8221; which encapsulates his mission for helping us strive for a stronger faith and healthier body.</p>
<p>I recommend this workout for anyone beginner through advanced who is looking for a well-rounded workout. There is floor work involved, and small dumb bells are recommended so be prepared for that. Jimmy Pena is a great motivator and I enjoy working out with this DVD.</p>

In all honesty it has taken me months to go through the videos and some of them I am just not able to do at this time but some of them I LOVE! Let me tell you a little about the program and then I&#8217;ll share my favorites.</p>
<p>The founders behind HealthyFitBodies.com have collaborated with the best trainers nationwide to provide one DVD set, offering fitness enthusiasts a dream team of personal trainers in a box. The Top Trainers program is designed to constantly challenge you and your body. The program uses the “blend method” offering workouts from multiple fitness disciplines. By blending all different techniques for weight loss they have created the optimal mixture of exercises to have the maximum effectiveness.<br />

<p>My favorite workouts are Tracey Mallet&#8217;s and Susan Tuttle&#8217;s. I am working hard on Lindsay Brin’s, Jennifer Galardi’s, and Angie Miller&#8217;s. The others will come as I work harder and lose more weight. The topic for this week&#8217;s Weight Loss Wednesday is &#8220;Have you had any unexpected benefits of your weight loss journey?&#8221; My answer to that question is, yes.</p>
<p>While creating our schedule for the fall&#8230;I made scheduling exercise time a priority and I scheduled it when it will actually work in my schedule. I have tried many times to be that person who gets up early to exercise before her day begins&#8230;that is just not me. I have added late afternoon exercise time to my daily schedule and that will work much better. Exercising after homeschooling and after work is a great way to re-energize for evening activities and to focus on me for a bit in the middle of my day. We started school this week and my fall work schedule goes into effect on Monday so that is when the true test of this schedule begins.</p>
<p>As far as the scale goes&#8230;it didn&#8217;t move this week. Honestly I didn&#8217;t do much to make it move, so I can&#8217;t complain. I weigh in on Tuesday so yesterday&#8217;s 2 workouts count for this week <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/14.0.0/72x72/1f642.png" alt="🙂" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> This morning I&#8217;m headed out to Publix to pick up some fruit and more Zone Bars to keep me going.</p>

I am now down to 8 weeks left before my cruise and 26 pounds to go!! I am not getting discouraged though. This past week I didn&#8217;t track my food and I only exercised 2x. This week I am tracking my food but with the Back to School Bash coming up on Saturday there isn&#8217;t much time to exercise since every spare waking moment is being spent working on Bash details. The following week will be different because I received a set of 11 workout DVDs to review&#8230;I&#8217;m already sore just thinking about it!</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Shortly after I arrived at Type-A Con this year, I found myself alone in my hotel room trolling Twitter trying to find someone to go to dinner with Wednesday night. Most of my friends were arriving late Wednesday evening and I hate to eat alone so I was looking for company. Soon after sending out my plea <strong><a href="http://twitter.com/alfecia" target="_blank" rel="noopener">@Alfecia</a></strong>-whom I had never spoken to on Twitter before invited me to join the group she was going to dinner with. I gladly accepted and met them in the hotel lobby. By the end of our meal at Vincenzo&#8217;s I had made a new friend.<br />
<a href="http://www.confessionsofasnowflake.com" data-cke-saved-href="http://www.confessionsofasnowflake.com"><img decoding="async" class="alignleft" src="http://www.confessionsofasnowflake.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/wlw2.png" alt="" data-cke-saved-src="http://www.confessionsofasnowflake.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/wlw2.png" /></a>Alicia, who blogs at <strong><a href="http://www.confessionsofasnowflake.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Confessions of a Snowflake</a></strong>, and I have a lot in common we are both Christian homeschooling moms of musical teenage boys! Anyway, Alicia hosts a weekly #WLWed linky on her blog and I am joining up because I have just re-started my weight loss journey&#8230;again.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m sorry of you are not interested in this journey but I need accountability and this is one place I can be publicly accountable so please&#8230;encourage me along the way.</p>
<p>Why am I trying again?? This time I have a concrete goal and it is a big one lose 30lbs in 88 days! This would just be the first step to me getting healthy since I have a lot more than that to lose but I need to begin somewhere. Just over a week ago my husband informed me that we were going on a cruise to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary! We will be gone October 2-9th!</p>
<p>Now, this weight loss thing isn&#8217;t a vanity thing. It is an I want to do this for my husband thing. You see, he really wants to go zip lining and so do I. Depending where we chose to zip line, I am currently just at or over the maximum weight limit <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/14.0.0/72x72/1f641.png" alt="🙁" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> For my own safety I want to be under that limit! Sites like the Best online shop to <a href="https://visionpharma.cc/weight-loss/buy-adipex-p-online/"><strong>Buy adipex online overnight delivery cheap cheap</strong></a> without prescription would be more than helpful for the weight loss goal.</p>
<p>Last week I started eating better and I have even added yogurt to my diet for the first time in my life. I am using the <strong><a href="http://www.myfitnesspal.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">MyFitnessPal</a> </strong>app on my phone to track my food intake, my exercise and my water intake. Since this is an ambitious goal for week 1 I have stood on the Scripture Philippians 4:13 (NIV)  &#8220;I can do all this through him who gives me strength.&#8221; During week 1 my eating was good and my exercise was lacking so I will focus on that more this week but&#8230;I am down 1 pound for week one.</p>

I have found a way to take some breaks throughout the day and add some exercise. I&#8217;m not talking aerobics in the cubicle or working up a sweat in your business suit but simple stretches to whatever. Martial arts aerobics, yoga, Tai Chi, Chi kung. I have been using this tool for a week and I can feel it.</p>
<p>This tool is <a href="http://breakpal.com" target="_blank">Break Pal</a>. Break Pal is a new application that delivers micro workouts to your desktop via a yahoo widget. You set how often you want to do your 3 minute micro workouts, you can chose 15, 30, 45 or 60 minute intervals. When it is time to work out the alert pops up and tells you it is time to work out. Click on the pop up and it takes you to your exercise choices, click on your choice and workout with Liz.</p>
