Wordless Wednesday-Davy Jones

Last Wednesday after my surgery, they wheeled me to my hospital room. Once everyone else had left, my husband informed me that Davy Jones had died of a heart attack. I was still very sedated and didn’t really process the information until much later that night. I was alone in my hospital room, wide awake at 1am, flipping the channels on the TV and Davy was everywhere. Then I remembered that Ron had mentioned Davy’s passing earlier. I was a childhood fan of the Monkees and I was blessed to see Davy perform twice at the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival. This not-so-great picture is from his 2005 performance at Epcot.

Rest in Peace, Davy. I will always be a Daydream Believer.

Wordless Wednesday-Covered in Ketchup

The kids of G-Town (the children’s ministry at Journey Assembly) gave $100+ in offering during the month of January. As a reward, the got to cover Associate Children’s Pastor, Mr Scott in 7lbs of ketchup and 2 cans of silly string after church on Sunday morning.
