Can you believe Christmas is less than 2 weeks away? Is your shopping done? Mine is about 1/3 done. Are your decorations up? Hubby put the lights up on the house yesterday and we have decided not to decorate inside the house at this late date. I still need to decide what treats I am baking this year but I do know I am cutting waaay back. This year I’m not making treat plates for all of my friends, I just don’t have the time or the funds. My Christmas cards arrived on Saturday so I need to get those addressed and in the mail too.

Phew! There is so much to do this time of year. I hope that the real reason of the season doesn’t get lost in the busyness. I’ve be reading some wonderful Advent devotionals on YouVersion.com. So far my favorite has been Louie Giglio’s, “Waiting Here for You, An Advent Journey of Hope.” It is a 7 day devotional so you have plenty of time before Christmas to complete it! I promise it will really help you focus on keeping Christ in CHRISTmas.

It’s finally here! It’s VBS week! The staff and volunteers at RiverLife Church have put their hearts and souls into this year’s VBS. It is called MOVE! and it focuses on teaching our children to MOVE towards Jesus. We will follow the stories of 5 people/groups in the Bible who moved towards Jesus and why we should do the same. We spent Sunday afternoon/evening decorating the stage and the classrooms and now we just wait for the doors to open at 6:00pm each night this week.

Time to turn it up…and party with us at Turn It Up Tuesday! It’s our 97th week, which means we’re only a few short weeks away from the 100th week here at Turn It Up Tuesday! Here we are in the second full work week of 2015 and I am still trying to find my mojo. The work is getting done, because I am organized and I have a detailed schedule but I’m just not feeling it like I usually do. It could be because Tuesday marks 4 weeks with this annoying head cold or that we are 1/3 of the way through my office renovation or that I am having trouble adjusting to not having Aaron living at home any more. In all it is probably a combination of all three. I hope your new year is off to a great start and hopefully my mojo will return soon.

I hope you had a fantabulous weekend! I sure did. Saturday I got some blogging work done and I finished painting all of the signs for the wedding.Saturday evening I had dinner with Jordan and then I took him to check out the new high end mall near us. His favorite two stores were the Tesla store and the Apple store, imagine that! Sunday we had a wonderful service at church and then we spent the day visiting with my parents.
