My Butterfly Box

The Butterfly Box that I received was prayer themed. It included the book , “The Power of a Praying Woman” by Stormie Omartian. This is a powerful devotional. I used this many years ago. I’m excited to to have a beautiful new copy. Next is the Be Still and Know Journal. I love a good journal so this will be put to good use. The Butterfly Prayer Bracelet is a lovely gift that I plan to pass on to a friend who is walking through a difficult time to let her know I’m praying for her. The Vanilla White and Peppermint Tea Drops are unique teas to enjoy during your quiet time. Last but not least is a Weekly Prayer Strategy Guide with daily reminders of all the important things we can lift up in prayer.

Beauty box 5 June Beauties

Coastal Scents Revealed 3 Palette
This mini shadow sampler is the perfect traveling companion. The shades are highly pigmented, buildable, and can be transformed from day to night. While I love the colors in this sampler, this shadow didn’t have any staying power. I used it on a Sunday morning and by the time I got home from church, there was no color left. I didn’t prime or anything as I was just going to church for 5 hours and not doing my full face. My usual eye shadow lasts for hours under the same conditions. Full size retails for $19.95

Did Hair Jeweled Hair Tie Set
These hair ties are adorable! I won’t be wearing them because I just cut 10″ off my hair last month and I no longer have enough hair to pony up. I do have a friend that will be loving these blingy hair ties. Retails for $7.50

Jesse’s Girl Liquid Eyeliner
I am not usually a fan of liquid eyeliner because I have no eyeliner skills. I was drawn the the beautiful blue color of this liner. The calligraphy-style brush allows for precision application and the formula is quick drying to prevent smudges. Even I was able to use this liquid eyeliner and I loved the color and how well it stayed put all day long. Retails for $6.99.

Prestige Cosmetics My Biggest Lashes Mascara
Sometimes there is no escaping summer drama, so why not add a little in your lashes? This plushy brush grabs close to roots to boost high volume with no clumping. I haven’t tried this mascara. I seldom wear mascara and I have too many already opened. This will be passed on to my daughter-in-law. Retails for $7.50.

Laritzy Lip Pencil
Need a long-lasting lip color for all your summer plans? try this Laritzy Lip Pencil! Pair this creamy, pigmented liner with your favorite matte lipstick or fill in your lips completely and top with a gloss! I love this color. I used it Sunday with a matte lipstick and it looked great. Retails for $18.

What was in the February Beauty Box 5 Box?

The February box was all about having kissable lips, and it is one of my favorite boxes so far! We received 4 full sized products with a retail value of over $37.00 for the price of a $12 monthly subscription.

Tint Beauty Unicorn Lippie $9.00

Let’s get mythical! Introducing the Unicorn Lippie Collection-making its debut in this month’s box. These ultra-pigmented, matte liquid lips glide on so easily and last all night. I wore this with the Lip Glow all day Saturday at a training event. It lasted all day and I like the neutral color.

Tint Beauty Unicorn Liner $7.00

You’ll need a matching liner to go with your Unicorn lip. Outline and define with this creamy crayon before applying your Lippie for more staying power.

Style Essentials Lip Glow $4.00

With a lightly tinted shine, this balm glides on sheer with a moisturizing and comfortable finish. This is great alone or over your favorite matte shade. I wore this over both my Unicorn Lippie and my Colour Hybrid and it was the moisture that was needed to complement each of the matte lip colors.

So Susan Colour Hybrid $17.50

This rich cream-mousse pigment looks great on every skin tone and adds fullness to your lips. Apply a small amount on the center of your lips and blend outward. Finish with a moisturizing balm. This is my new favorite lip color!

Jean Pierre Cosmetics Pink Moisturizing Lip Mask $5.00

Prep your pout and repair dryness with collagen, vitamins and minerals. place on lips and then smooth onto skin. Leave on for 15 minutes, remove, then rub in remaining liquid. We received one lip mask to try. The $5 price tag is for a set of 5. I didn’t really notice any difference after this treatment.

As you can see from the picture above, our box came with 4 different activities. Each Crated with Love box is themed, ours was Metaphors & Movies. This box is about creativity, and learning how to describe your relationship. Ron and I have been married for 25 years and I learned something new while we were doing one of the activities, my eyes are his favorite feature of mine, I never knew that! We both had a bit of trouble with the metaphor activity, and we loved the movie activity and will do that one again.

I am not much of a bath gel girl, I like the thicker, creamier body washes. I LOVE the fragrance of the Rain Bath and I have popped this sample in my travel bag for future use on the road.

Professional Freezing Finish Spray

This haute hairspray tackles flyaway without ever feeling tacky. I love this spray for when I curl my very straight hair. It holds well and helps keep my style throughout the day or night.

Hikari Lip Gloss

These highly pigmented glosses are perfect to wear alone or layer over lipstick for a more intense finish. This color is a bit dark for my complexion but I’m going to give it a try over some lighter lipstick.

Jelly Pong Pong Liquid Gossamer

While we only received 2 full size products in this shipment the total value was way over $20 so definitely worth the subscription price. Mystic Tan Mocha-Kyssed Bronzer Lotion
Who needs to bask in the sun and stay on land for a tan? Apply lotion over body in smooth, circular motions and wash hands directly after. This product is buildable, so apply until desired color is achieved. I haven’t tried this yet, honestly, I’m afraid. I’ve had some bad relationships with bronzers and self tanners in the past. What are your thoughts? Do you want to try it?

Briogeo Rosarco milk Reparative Leave-In Spray
Ariel is going to be shell-ous of your luxurious locks blowing in the breeze! This lightweight leave-in adds softness, strength, manageability, and moisture while acting as a barrier against UV rays. I love how my hair feels when I use this leave-in. I’m glad to have something that protects from the UV rays and I use it when I am going to be outside a lot in the Florida sun.

Bat those lashes and flirt with the prince like a pro with this mascara! It’s waterproof, so when it’s time to jump back in the ocean and go home, there’s no smudging! This is what I wore to the Memorial Day pool party. It stayed on all day while I was in and out of the pool.

A vibrant lipstick that is the perfect cosmetic for any mermaid’s makeup bag. All the other fish in the sea are gonna be crushing so hard once they see you in this pigmented and hydrating coral color. I have been wearing this lipstick for over a week and I am in love. The color stays on for hours and my lips are soft and moist!

Elizabeth Mott You’re So Fine Liquid Liner in Glitterati
Send your boring plain black liner to sleep with the fishes and add subtle sparkle to your eyes with this bold fave that won’t budge in the water.
I have no talent for using liquid eyeliner. I’m giving this to my niece when I see her this weekend. I am sure she will enjoy it much more than me.

January 2016 Beauty Box 5 Review

Not Your Mother’s Haircare-Plump for Joy-Retail $7

This thickening elixir can be used on wet or dry hair to give your locks a boost. I have used it a few times and I have noticed a difference in my hair’s volume and texture when using it.

Salon Grafix-Hair Spray-Retail $6.99

I have found my new favorite hairspray! This spray holds tight while leaving your hair soft not crunchy! We only got a sample size can but I am going to buy a full sized can of this as soon as I can!

Nails, Inc.-Nail Polish-Retail $9.99

This deep, deep dark purple nail polish may be a favorite color for some, but it is too dark for this Floridian’s taste. I haven’t tried it yet, except to do a quick sample to see the color.

Scratch-Custom Accent Nail Wraps-Retail $6

I haven’t used the nail wraps yet because the color and design haven’t been right for my current wardrobe. The instructions suggest wearing them over polish and finishing with a clear top coat to help them last longer.

Bodipure-Keratin Gloves-Retail $5

Keratin for your hands. I couldn’t wait to try these innovative gloves. You open the package and the gloves are pre-filled with the keratin treatment. Slip on the gloves and relax for a bit, I watched TV for about 20 minutes. The keratin is said to strengthen your nails, nourish your skin and cuticles. As you can see in the picture above, the keratin wasn’t evenly distributed throughout the glove. My right hand middle finger had basically no keratin, while my pinkie had way too much. While this was a unique hand treatment, it was odd and time consuming, I don’t think I’ll be purchasing more of this item.
