]]> Last year at this time our life was a flurry of activity, my oldest son Aaron was graduating high school. I know this is a huge occasion in most families but for us it seemed ginormous! You see Aaron has been homeschooled by my husband and I since we started pre-K at age 3. Now 14 years later it felt like we were all graduating. We participated in 2 homeschool graduation ceremonies, one with our school covering where there were 3 graduates and one with our homeschool support group where there were 21 graduates. Both graduation ceremonies focused on both the student’s accomplishments and the love, dedication and sacrifice of the parents. They were both very meaningful…and tearful.

It is hard to imagine that next year at this time we will be back in the graduation whirlwind as my baby graduates high school and brings to a close our family’s 16 year homeschooling journey. As the saying goes, “Time flies when you’re having fun.” Congratulations to the class of 2011!
