										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>You may remember back in November I was testing creamed corn recipes for our Thanksgiving dinner. I had shared with you the <a href="http://themommaven.com/2016/11/crockpot-creamed-corn/"><strong>Smooth and Creamy Crockpot Creamed Corn</strong></a> recipe. We enjoyed that recipe but we were looking for a little more for our Thanksgiving celebration. In my search I found this <a href="http://www.mccormick.com/recipes/salads-sides/slow-cooker-ricotta-rosemary-creamed-corn" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><strong>Slow Cooker Ricotta Rosemary Creamed Corn</strong></a> recipe which sounded pretty good, but needed some tweaking to suit my tastes. From that recipe I created my Slow Cooker Herbed Creamed Corn that I am sharing with you today.</p>
<p>This dish is super easy to make and it tastes delicious! It has a nice balance of corn and herbs and was a nice addition to our Thanksgiving meal. Everyone enjoyed this new side dish and I am sure I will make it again. I hope you like it as well.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As a kid I was introduced to creamed corn at a friend&#8217;s house. I am a corn lover anyway so a new, creamier way to eat corn excited me. Upon returning home I told my mom about my new found favorite side dish. She agreed to get some. A few night&#8217;s later my mom served us canned cream corn, much to my father&#8217;s disdain. You see, my dad connected creamed corn with his appendicitis. Actually, not creamed corn but corn chowder but he said they were all the same. On the night of his appendicitis attack he had eaten corn chowder. Of course, the food and the medical issue were in no way connected but, in my father&#8217;s mind they were. Mom didn&#8217;t serve us creamed corn very often because none of us wanted to hear dad re-tell his story.</p>
<p>I do remember the one thing I didn&#8217;t like about some creamed corn was that is was mostly pulverized corn, which made the dish mushy. While I was looking for some new corn recipes on Pinterest I was happy to see a lot of recipes using whole kernels not pulverized corn. I created this smooth and creamy crockpot creamed corn recipe based on several similar recipes I found in my search.</p>
