We have attended SeaWorld’s Christmas celebration twice in the past. In 2012 I brought some girls for a festive night out and in 2013 my husband and I enjoyed a delightful date night. This year I hope to introduce Jordan’s Michigan friend to this fun, family event.

You can brighten up this year’s holiday season during SeaWorld Orlando’s Christmas Celebration, where guests experience the joys of Christmas complete with all-new festivities and returning favorites sure to inspire traditions for years to come. Holiday events take place Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays November 25 through December 11 and then run daily December 16 through 31.

During SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration guests of all ages can delight over scrumptious food, stunning live shows, joyful entertainment inspired by the natural world and much more.

All-New Holiday Festivities

Rudolph’s ChristmasTown – New this year is the Rudolph’s ChristmasTown where guests can meet Rudolph, Clarice, Bumble and Yukon Cornelius from the classic family Christmas television special, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Plus, guests can stroll past life-size story book vignettes showcasing the classic Rudolph story.
Santa’s Workshop presented by Coca-Cola – Meet Santa Claus in an all-new Christmas experience. Guests can make timeless memories to treasure as they embrace the joy of the holiday season at Santa’s Workshop, presented by Coca-Cola.

Returning Holiday Favorites

Clyde & Seamore’s Countdown to Christmas – A returning classic, Sea Lion & Otter Stadium celebrates the season with a hilarious Christmas comedy show. Clyde and Seamore, along with a few mischievous otters, a comical elf, and even a jolly walrus, invite guests to their fun-filled holiday celebration.
Shamu Christmas Miracles – Shamu Stadium once again brightens the night with dazzling lights and glowing candles, while Christmas carols abound and Shamu splashes to celebrate the holiday season.
O Wondrous Night – Experience a live nativity only SeaWorld can bring to life, complete with more than 30 carols, life-sized puppets, and animals in a spectacular Christmas favorite based on The Christmas Story. Told through the eyes of the animals that were there, O Wondrous Night is a touching, light-hearted, and glorious celebration with a host of angels, animals, and the true glory of Christmas.
Sesame Street’s Elmo’s Christmas Wish – The holidays have arrived, and everybody’s Sesame Street® friends have come to SeaWorld Orlando for a festive and fun musical celebration! Elmo’s Christmas Wish will soon become every child’s favorite show. Join Rosita, Grover, Zoe and Cookie Monster as they work together to help Elmo find his Christmas wish!
Winter Wonderland on Ice – Christmas comes to life on a stage of ice, jewels and light as skaters dazzle and delight in this show-stopping, ice skating extravaganza.
Sea of Trees – Families will stroll through a wintery, watery wonderland as they are immersed in a sea of glistening holiday trees that sparkle to music as they light up the water. New this year is a glistening Christmas tree towering 70-feet above the water.
The Christmas Market – Nestled along the park’s Bayside Pathway, The Christmas Market features festive entertainment and delicious culinary delights. Complete with playful elves, a charming model train village, and the comedic antics of the Christmas Council, the Market is the centerpiece of SeaWorld’s Christmas event. Guests can also relax near the warm glow of the fire pit a holiday cocktail while experiencing a wonderful view of the vibrant Sea of Trees.

Holiday Cuisine

For those looking for unique holiday cuisine, The Christmas Market is filled with fresh-popped kettle corn, waffle cone S’mores, grilled slider sandwiches, short-rib brisket mac & cheese and SeaWorld’s very own apple pie with a unique and delicious twist. Guests can also sip on flavorful hoppy craft brews and specialty flavored hot cocoa located near the stage at Bayside Pathway. Live music under the Gazebo completes the entire experience as guests enjoy the craft brew.

Guests can now indulge their senses with more than 60 delectable bites and craft brews served on tap with two all-new Tasting & Brew Sampler packages. Guests can also enjoy a memorable holiday meal, along with a meet and greet with Santa and Mrs. Claus at Santa’s Fireside Feast. The best way to experience SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration and New Year’s with family and friends is with an Annual Pass. By purchasing a Pass now, guests can get three additional months free. Top 3 Things to Do at The SeaWorld Christmas Celebration

I have had the pleasure of visiting SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration twice in the past and I hope to get to go again later this month. This delightful holiday celebration takes place on select dates beginning November 21, 2015. The SeaWorld Christmas Celebration is included in park admission which really adds to the value of your park ticket. Most of the Christmas shows and events take place from about 5:30pm-park close. That small window of time is the only downside of this holiday celebration. You cannot see all of the Christmas shows and events in one night so you must prioritize.

Mom Maven’s Top 3 Things to Do at The SeaWorld Christmas Celebration

O Wondrous Night – Hear the classic Christmas story as told through the eyes of the animals. With more than 30 carols, life-size puppets and a live nativity, this show will charm, entertain and delight. This show takes place usually 2x a night and you must get in line at least 30 minutes in advance to guarantee a seat.
THE POLAR EXPRESS Experience – Now boarding! It’s a wondrous journey to the North Pole aboard THE POLAR EXPRESS. Sea of Trees – Take a walk through our wintery, watery wonderland. This glistening forest of more than 100 Christmas trees sparkles to music and lights up the water.
The Christmas Village – Artisans, festive entertainment and delicious culinary delights create a bustling market that lines Bayside Pathway. Guests can discover one-of-a-kind gifts, enjoy scrumptious holiday treats, encounter playful elves and holiday characters, sing-a-long with musicians, and marvel at a charming model train village. Reserved Seating and Dining Packages

Guests can enjoy a Christmas Celebration Reserved Seating Package. This package provides a reserved seat at all three of our popular Christmas shows, plus a dining certificate to use that evening at any participating restaurant. Shows included are: Shamu Christmas Miracles, O Wondrous NightTM and Winter Wonderland on Ice. Packages start at $24 per person.

Plus, park guests are invited to enjoy a dinner of Christmas favorites with Santa and Mrs. Claus during Santa’s Fireside Feast. SeaWorld Christmas Celebration 2013

Earlier this week Ron and I spent a delightful evening enjoying SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration. This was my 2nd year attending this event and my husband’s first. We arrived at the park at 4:30pm, most of the Christmas activities begin at 5:00pm or later. Due to the fact that it is impossible to see every Christmas show offered in the 4 hour time span we decided to focus on two of the shows I didn’t get to experience last year plus make sure Ron got to ride Antarctica. We headed to Antarctica and got in the 60 minute line for the ride. This totally broke our rule that we NEVER get in a line that is more than 30 minutes long. I warned Ron that the very short ride wasn’t worth the wait but he wanted to try it…when we left the Antarctica area 70 minutes later, he agreed that while the ride vehicle concept is cool, the ride itself is lame and too short and not worth a 60 minute wait.
Now it is 5:40pm and we have missed the only Countdown to Christmas show of the evening…oh well, maybe next year. We spent time wandering around enjoying the beautiful Christmas lights and decorations and popped into a few shops to see if there were any Christmas gifts we needed to purchase. We stopped by the waterfront for the 6:00pm Sea of Trees show. Here is a brief Instagram video of part of the show.

Next we got in line for the 7:00pm O Wondrous Night show. I’m glad we headed over there early because the line was very long and the doors open rather early. There are only 2 shows a night and they both fill up so make sure you arrive at least 45 minutes early, you’ll be glad you did.

O Wondrous Night

This show is AMAZING! Do not miss it. It has jumped up to #2 on my list of favorite Christmas shows. A beautiful telling of the Christmas story complete with 30 carols, puppets, singers and live animals is what you will find when you see O Wondrous Night. The singers were very talented and the performer on me really wanted to be on stage singing with them.

After the amazing show we wandered through the Christmas Market sipping hot chocolate on our way to Bayside Stadium for the 8:45pm Winter Wonderland on Ice show and the 9:10pm Holiday Reflections fireworks.

For the best viewing of the shows at Bayside Stadium I have found that the front row in the balcony area has the best seats. Here is a panoramic picture from our seats of the pre-show entertainment performing.

The other two big things you don’t want to miss are the Polar Express Experience and Shamu Christmas Miracles. I wrote about those last year so feel free to click over and check that post out too.

With everything from Santa to Shamu®, presents to penguins, and elves to Elmo, SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration is where the season meets the sea. Events take place on select dates November 23 through December 31, 2013 and are included with park admission or annual pass.
