This Ninja Foodi Beef Tips and Gravy recipe has become an instant favorite in our house. It’s delicious, versatile, and pretty easy to make. I’ve served it with my Crispy Parmesan Potatoes and with egg noodles. Next time I’m going to serve it over rice. I love how easy it is to change it up depending on what you have in the pantry.

I am going to give you the full recipe which feeds 4-6 people, I usually cut it in half because there are only two of us at home.

Ninja Foodi Beef Tips and Gravy

Ingredients

2 lbs beef tips or stew beef

1 tsp black pepper

2 pkgs low sodium brown gravy mix

2 cups beef broth

2 TBS canola oil

2 tsp onion powder

2 tsp minced garlic

2 tsp A-1 sauce

1 pkg dry onion soup mix

2 TBS water

3 TBS corn starch

Ninja Foodi Beef Tips and Gravy Instructions

In a large bowl mix together the beef broth and the gravy packets. Set aside.

Sprinkle the pepper on the beef tips. Set aside.

Turn the ninja Foodi to sear/saute and add oil. Next add the beef tips and cook until brown on all sides, 4-5 minutes.

Sprinkle the onion powder over the beef tips and cook another 3-4 minutes.

Add the minced garlic, cook for an additional 30 seconds and then turn the saute function off.

Add the A-1 sauce and the onion soup mix into the Foodi and then pour the gravy mixture over everything.

Pot the pressure cooker lid on the Foodi and set it to Pressure and cook on high for 25 minutes. (It will take about 10 minutes to reach pressure before it starts cooking)

When it’s done cooking, set a timer for 20 minutes. Do not touch the Foodi during this time. Let the pressure naturally release.

When your timer goes off, open the vent to let any additional pressure to release before removing the lid.

Stir the contents of the pot with a wooden spoon.

In a small bowl mix together 2 TBS of water and 3 TBS of corn starch to thicken the gravy. Continue adding little bits of water until it reaches a smooth consistency. This is called a slurry.

Add the slurry to the Foodi and stir it in really well.

Let it sit for 5 minutes so the gravy can thicken and then serve.

I know that you know that I LOVE Buffalo Chicken! So it was time to create a recipe for my Ninja Foodi! We love this Pressure Cooker Buffalo Chicken Pasta. It’s so easy to make and it’s ready in about 45 minutes! This recipe is similar to my Buffalo Chicken Casserole, so if you don’t have a Foodi, Instant Pot, or other pressure cooker, give that recipe a try.

This recipe is great because, if you need to, you can use frozen chicken and it doesn’t change the cooking time! I love that about pressure cookers. I don’t know about you, but I often forget to defrost the meat. It can really mess up my meal timing.

Now that I am in the slower part of my summer and we are back to eating at home most nights, I am back to menu planning. Often times figuring out what to eat for dinner is the hardest part of my day, do you feel me? Right? Menu planning for the week takes that stress off.

Usually on Sunday night Ron and I talk about our schedules and commitments for the upcoming week. We are both self employed and we both serve a lot at church, very little in our schedule is consistent, especially over the summer. Once I know how many and which nights we will be eating at home, I usually ask Ron if there is something specific he might want this week. Lately he’s wanted Hawaiian Burgers and Buffalo Chicken Casserole.

Last week we had barbecue chicken planned one night. Of course, that was the night Hurricane Elsa decided to visit Tampa Bay. Honestly, the storm was a non-event here where I live. Our afternoon thunderstorms the week before were much worse than Elsa. Nonetheless, we couldn’t grill out in the rain so I needed to pivot and find another way. That’s how this recipe came about.

Pressure Cooker Barbecue Chicken

I made this recipe in my Ninja Foodi but you can make it in any pressure cooker that also has a saute setting.

Ingredients

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp pepper

1/4 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp onion powder

1 cup barbecue sauce, divided I use Sweet Baby Ray’s

1/2 cup water

Pressure Cooker Barbecue Chicken Instructions

Trim any fat off the chicken and butterfly any very thick pieces.

Season both sides of the chicken with the salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.

Place the chicken in the pressure cooker, I use my Ninja Foodi.

Pour the water into the pressure cooker.

Pour 1/2 cup of the barbecue sauce over the chicken.

Place lid on pressure cooker and set it to high for 12 minutes. Remember, it will take 10-15 minutes to come to pressure before the timer starts.

After cooking allow pressure to naturally release for about 5 minutes before releasing the rest manually.

Remove the chicken from the pot and pour any remaining liquid down the drain.

Replace the pot and change the setting to saute.

Put the chicken back in the pot and add the rest of the barbecue sauce.

Allow to cook for about 3 minutes to crisp up the bottom of the chicken a little.

Serve with your favorite side dishes. I served it with my Crack Potatoes.

Hello! Yes, it is mid-May and I am finally back to posting recipes. It has been a very trying several months for our family but I am getting back in the swing again. I love creating recipes and sharing them with you. The process can be very time consuming and with all the changes and loss going on in our life, I had to let recipes go for a season. Thankfully, the end of this season is near and if you have an electric pressure cooker, I think you are going to love this 3 Envelope Pressure Cooker Roast.

Yes, I’m starting off with a super simple recipe. It is an adaptation of my 3 Envelope Crockpot Roast, which is a family favorite. Way back on Black Friday I bought myself a Ninja Foodi Pressure Cooker! This is my first pressure cooker. I have borrowed my daughter-in-law’s Instant Pot once but I never owned one. Here it is 6 months later and I am using my Foodi more and more.

A few months ago, when I was planning to make my 3 Envelope Roast in the crockpot as normal I thought, “I should be able to do this in my Foodi in a lot less time.” I was right! It took a little trial and error to get it perfect but I now make this roast in my pressure cooker every time! I will tell you up front, this roast can be a little salty. If you need to watch your sodium I suggest getting the low sodium brown gravy packet, that is what I usually do, but it has been difficult to find in these odd Covid times we are living in.

3 Envelope Pressure Cooker Roast Recipe

Ingredients

3-4 lb beef roast

1 envelope Ranch Dressing Mix

1 envelope Italian Dressing Mix

1 envelope Brown Gravy mix

1 TBS Canola Oil

1 cup Water

1 TBS Corn Starch

1.5 TBS Cold Water

3 Envelope Pressure Cooker Roast Instructions

Place the cooking pot in your Foodi and set it to Sear/Saute.

While it is heating up, in a small bowl, mix together the contents of the 3 envelopes.

Rub the dry mix all over the roast.

Put the oil in the cooking pot and then add the roast. Sear the roast on each side.

Change the Foodi to pressure. Pour the water over the roast. Put the Pressure lid on and make sure the pressure valve is in the sealed position.

Set the pressure to High and the time to 90 minutes.

When the roast is done, allow it to do a natural pressure release for 15 minutes before manually releasing the pressure.

Remove the roast from the cooking pot and place it on a serving tray.

Switch the Foodi to Sear/Saute. In a small bowl, mix together the corn starch and cold water. Add this mixture to the roast juices and stir to mix with a wooden spoon.

Allow the gravy to thicken for 2-3 minutes.

Serve the roast and gravy with your favorite potatoes and veggies
