Michael Buble’s lastest project “Crazy Love” hit store shelves recently. I love Buble’s sweet voice and was excited when I was asked to review the CD. “Crazy Love” is a collection of passionate songs that embodies the deep mysteries of love sung by one of the most exciting, young performers today.

My favorite song on the CD is “Haven’t Met You Yet” Check out the video.

In my opinion, the CD is good some songs better than others but, it didn’t blow me away like I was expecting it to. It has found only moderate rotation on my personal playlist. My husband came in the house while I was writing this post and said that Glenn Beck has been talking about how awesome this album is all day on his radio show and now he wants to borrow it to listen to it too.

I survived the ’80s and lived to tell about it The ’80s were my high school and college years so, the music of that era is my music. The music of classic bands like Journey, Styx, Bon Jovi and Pat Benatar was a staple at any party. On the flip side of that, I am a musical theatre geek. I have been performing in musicals since the age of 5 and I have been directing them for the past 25 years. When I was asked by One2One Network to review the Original Broadway Cast Recording of five-time Tony Award nominated “ROCK OF AGES.” I was excited. For those of you not in the know, Rock of Ages is the new Broadway musical starring American Idol finalist Constantine Maroulis.

Set in 1987 in a legendary Sunset Strip rock club, a small-town girl meets a big-city dreamer and they fall in love to the greatest metal songs of the 80’s. The musical is an arena-rock love story told through the mind-blowing, face-melting hits of Journey, Bon Jovi, Styx, Reo Speedwagon, Pat Benatar, Foreigner, Twisted Sister, Poison, Asia, Whitesnake and more.

“ROCK OF AGES” is an interesting mix of great rock songs with a slight musical theatre twist. Constantine Maroulis is a rocker and he and the rest of the cast do a very good job in re-creating classics like “Just Like Paradise / Nothin’ But A Good Time”, “Sister Christian”, “We Built This City / Too Much Time On My Hands”, “I Wanna Rock”, and “We’re Not Gonna Take It”.
