Both Sears and Kmart offer free in store pickup, letting you shop thousands of gifts online in the comfort of your own home before picking up your items in store in 5 minutes guaranteed (or whenever you’re ready). With in store pickup you’ll avoid lines, busy stores and the wasted time of walking down every aisle. The bow on top: You can have a friend or relative pick up your order and pay in store with cash, if you prefer. Now it’s no question that you should try free in store pickup at Sears or Kmart but there’s now a question of, what will you do with more free time over the holidays? As much as I love to shop for advertised deals, there is something about being in the store and hearing, “Attention Kmart shoppers for the next 15 minutes…” the excitement of an unexpected bargain makes a shopping trip even more fun. Some of this week’s back-to-school or dorm Kmart Bluelight specials include filler paper 2 for $1, Womens Joe Boxer Flip Flops $4.00 and Men’s Athletic basketball shorts $3.00! There will also be Bluelight specials like all patio furniture 70% off regular prices and an extra 10% of diamonds that are already 70% off!  I’m hoping there will be a lot of school supplies appearing with the Bluelight tomorrow. Remember, to get the deals you have to be at the store so add Kmart to your list of places to go tomorrow!

When I worked at Kmart it was always fun to hear the shoppers go crazy when the department manager would say “Attention Kmart shoppers…for the next 5 minutes there will be a Bluelight Special on __whatever__.” From the cash registers at the front of the store we could here the customers, running and giggling as theymade their way to the flashing blue light. It always made us smile. It was nice to work at a store that made shopping fun.
