I just read “Beautiful Beasties” by Jamie Pflughoeft and I learned a lot about photographing Mushu and photography in general. I can’t wait til I can really take the time and try all the great tips and tricks in this book because I know I will learn more about my camera and how to get off of the automatic settings and how to take better pictures in general. Jamie offers lots of great tips for how to approach animals that you are asked to photograph, animal behavior, composition, editing and much more. I shared some of her concepts with Aaron and we took Mushu and her favorite toy, Mr Lion, to the backyard to see what we could capture.

This book is written with enough technical information that photographers like Aaron will be able to learn and improve their photography but it is also easy enough for non-technical photographers like myself can start from where we are and improve our photography also.
