The entire park is decked out in its Christmas best. There are Christmas trees, snowmen, twinkling lights and Christmas music everywhere. Most of the Christmas festivities run from 5:00pm-9:00pm and there is a lot to see in 4 short hours. We had less than 3 hours to see what we could after the media meet and greet and Sea of Trees show. We scurried over towards the Shamu Stadium side of the park so that we could have our picture taken in a snowglobe!

Then we headed to the Polar Express Experience…this was awesome!! From the first time I saw the movie The Polar Express, I thought it would make a great roller coaster. Well, SeaWorld has made it into a simulator ride! For the Christmas holiday, Wild Arctic is re-themed as The Polar Express Experience. As you enter the pre-show area you are drawn into the world of The Polar Express. By the time you enter the ride vehicle, you have enough backstory to know what is happening, even if you haven’t seen the movie. The simulator looks like the inside of the train! It takes you on the crazy ride to the North Pole and when you arrive, you can have your picture taken with Santa!

Next we headed to Shamu Christmas Miracles for the 7:45pm show. The theme music for the show is “When you Believe” from The Prince of Egypt. The show is enjoyable and includes several killer whales, trainers, video clips of kids talking about miracles and amazing gospel singer and a saxophone player. This show was Summer and Katelyn’s favorite part of the evening.

Our last stop was Bayside Stadium where we were first entertained by a talented A Capella vocal group before seeing Winter Wonderland On Ice at 8:30pm. We don’t often get to see outdoor ice skating shows in Florida so this was a real treat.The evening was capped off by the Holiday Reflections fireworks show at 8:55pm. We enjoyed the entire evening, I just wish the park was open later so we could have experienced A Sesame Street Christmas, Clyde & Seamore’s Countdown to Christmas and O Wondrous Night. The best way for Florida residents to experience the SeaWorld Christmas Celebration is with a 2013 Fun Card which is on sale now.
