<p>I have been looking for a way to make a family favorite dish from scratch with real ingredients for a while now. It’s a throwback to my childhood and it speaks directly to my more-than-occasional desire for quickness and efficiency, in that I love a good casserole or one-skillet dish. 										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Two years ago for Mother&#8217;s Day my sister and I took my mom to the Old Salty Dog restaurant in Venice, FL. I enjoyed their Maui Wow-ee burger on that visit. Recently the picture of that burger came up in my Timehop and I knew I needed to make my own version of that burger. That is the inspiration for this Hawaiian Burger with Teriyaki Mayonnaise.</p>
<p>I searched the Internet for a recipe and none of them sounded just right to me so I pulled together pieces from 3-4 recipes to make this one, and this is plan B. Plan A used a different teriyaki sauce. Unfortunately, when I headed to Publix to pick up my ingredients then didn&#8217;t carry 2 of them. Thankfully I knew I might need a plan B so I had those ingredients on my list as well.</p>
