Ok, I’m hooked! It isn’t often I get hooked on movie or TV series. After watching the DVD of When Calls the Heart – The Dance I did some research, I found out that it is a TV series on the Hallmark Channel and this movie is the first two episodes. Unfortunately, season 1 is not yet available on Netflix but hopefully it will soon be because…I’m hooked.

About When Calls the Heart-The Dance

When Calls the Heart – The Dance, produced and directed by Michael Landon Jr. and inspired by the best-selling books by Janette Oke, tells the story of Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow), a young high society woman, working as a teacher in a prairie town in the Western Frontier. When a group of bachelor minors come to help reopen the mine, the local Mounty. Jack Thorton (Daniel Lissing), finds himself in competition for Elizabeth’s affections. When items start disappearing from the town, Jack is immediately suspicious that his rival might also be a thief.Also stars Lori Loughlin as Abigail Stanton, a widow and mother whose husband, along with a dozen other miners, was killed in an explosion at the local mine.

Mom Maven’s Thoughts

Just buy it! LOL I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. The story is filled with themes of faith and family. The acting is top-notch and the movie is well cast. The characters are believable, flawed human beings. The way the women of Coal Valley rally together to keep moving forward in the aftermath of a mine disaster is powerful and heartwarming all at the same time.
