Mom Maven’s Thoughts on the BEDDI Charge

I gave Jordan, my 22 yr old, the BEDDI Charge to use in his room. He usually uses his iPhone as his alarm clock. He has no actual clock in his room so the BEDDI Charge was a nice addition. Jordan is a lighting tech by trade, he liked the mood light mode but wishes the colors could be controlled. He thought the fully dimmable clock face was odd, but we decided some people must want total darkness in their bedroom. The 3 USB ports were very handy to charge his iPhone and iPad each night while he slept. Jordan felt the alarm was too soft, even at its loudest. I tested the alarm and thought both the sound and the gradually incrreasing volume would be a nicer, more gentle way to wake up.

We feel the BEDDI Charge would be great for anyone but especially college kids and young adults. The favorite feature is the USB ports which allow for centralized charging. The BEDDI Charge by Witti would make a great Christmas gift for the young adult on your gift giving list.

What was in the November Beauty Box 5?

LA Fresh Good Day Day Moisturizer

Yes, I agree, the name is a bit redundant. This moisturizer retails for $40 and seems to work as well as my $10 moisturizer. Since we only received a sample, it was difficult to compare over the long term but, it did leave ,y skin soft and moisturized throughout the day.

Kaunis Facial Mask

This facial mask is cool and soothing and really makes my face feel rejuvenated after I have rested with it on my fave for about 20 minutes. Retailing for $14.95, it isn’t a mask I would use regularly but it is a nice special treat.

Altcheek MD Eye Gel Pads

We received a set of 2 of these pads. I tried using the first set when I was visiting my mom. Unfortunately, about 10 minutes in to wearing them, we had company arrive and I had to head to the restroom to remove the gel pads. Once returning home a few days later I tried the second set. After wearing them for 30 minutes my eyes were not less puffy they were read and irritated. I guess I am allergic to something in these pads.

MOODmatcher Luxe Twist Stick

Lip color is my new thing. I have been afraid to try bold colors but when the MOODmatcher shade-changing lip stick arrived, I couldn’t wait to try it. I have received a lot of compliments each time I’ve worn the color, so I guess it isn’t too bold. Also, this lip color really lasts all day! This $8 lip color is worth every penny.

The All Natural Face-Vegan Matte Cream Lip & Cheek Color

Honestly, I really don’t care if my cosmetics are vegan or not. This cheek color in Dusty Rose, complements my skin tone nicely andis a nice addition to my beauty arsenal. The fact that it only costs $5.75 is an added benefit.

I love beautiful handmade quilts. Quilts show amazing artistry and workmanship. I live in an area with a large Amish population and it is fairly easy for me to find a quality handmade quilt locally, not everyone is so fortunate.
I have often thought about learning how to quilt, though I can’t sew a straight hem so I doubt quilting would be the hobby. I love the creative process of quilting, finding just the right fabrics to coordinate with each other and organizing the actual pattern.

I found www.quiltcreator.com, it is a website that allows you to select the quilt size, pattern and color scheme. Then, with the help of the webiste, you get to choose the placement of the different fabrics to create a one-of-a-kind quilt. Below is a screenshot of the baby quilt I created.

I chose the Tumbling Blocks Infant Quilt using the Flea Market Fabric Theme. I them had to choose 6 of the 16 fabrics in the Flea Market Theme. Using the simple drag-and-drop technology on the website I was able to move around my fabric choices until I was totally happy with their placement. You can also choose which fabric to use for the backing, if you want the quilt monogrammed and even what color thread you want used. My quilt would cost $154.99, not bad for a custom designed quilt (that I didn’t have to sew myself).

The quilts are handcrafted, 100% cotton overfilled with 250g of cotton (while standard quilts are usually 170g/cotton).
