Muppet Fun

Today I saw a brand new Muppet video, it was posted on YouTube yesterday and already has over 1 million views! It was so cute it made me laugh out loud and so on this Thanksgiving Eve I share with you, The Muppets Bohemian Rhapsody. (watch it in full screen) Enjoy!

Zhu Zhu Pets

We don’t have any pets in our house. We used to have a cat but then we gave her away to my mother-in-law when her cat died. My boys have wanted dogs, cats, rabbits and fish but hubby’s answer is always “No.” We do live in a rather small house and there is definitely no room for a dog and I’m pretty sure a fish wouldn’t survive 30 days in the boys tiny, messy bedroom. I am happy to tell you we have found a solution! Zhu Zhu Pets!

These little guys are amazing. The hamsters and their accessories are sold separately, and most pieces retail for $8 and up so you can add to your collection as time goes on. These adorable little mess-free hamsters live and play in their hamster trail, they talk, sleep, and even brush their teeth! The technology is wonderful, depending on what activity they are doing they make cute little sound effects. Other than the basic hamster city there is also a hamster ball, slide, surfboard, skateboard and the traditional hamster wheel. Zhu Zhu Pets are great pets. They don’t eat, drink, stink, make a mess or die.

Family Game Night

I have always loved to play games. Board games, card games, video games-I love them all. Whenever we get together with extended family we play games. On my side of the family the current favorites are Golf (card game), Sequence, 500 Rummy and Yahtzee Free for All(which we call ‘Mean Yahtzee’). We are so competitive there is now a “Current Champions” list that hangs in my mom’s kitchen and shows who won the latest round of each game. On my husband’s side of the family the games are Mexican Train Dominoes and UNO Attack!®.

Playing games are great for bonding, memory making and just plain fun. For the last few years I have hosted Game Night at our church. One Friday night a month people ages 16 and up bring their favorite game and a snack or soda to share and we fellowship, learn new games and make new friends. We have learned a lot of great games at game night including Golf and Farkel

This school year we have added Thursday night family night to our schedule and most family nights are game nights-with the occasional movie night sprinkled in. We take turns and each week a different family member gets to pick the games we play that night. We have had a lot of fun taking time out every week to play together.

Fun New Year’s Resolutions

I have been working on my New Year’s Resolutions with Jessica from Jessicaknows.com. When that process is done I will post here. But, today, my friend Sugar Jones is having some fun on her blog. She has a magic 8 ball widget and you can ask the 8 ball if you will succeed at your resolutions. Of course, this is all for fun and I don’t recommend making any major decisions based on what this toy says but…here is what I asked it.
1. Will I be able to lose 6 pounds a month? “Yes, definately.”
2. Will I be able to supplement my income with money earned blogging? “Yes, definately.”
