]]> David Crowder*Band’s self-made new music video for their latest single “SMS (Shine)” debuts today using an unrivaled 700,000 LITE-BRITE ® pegs. Releasing today on VEVO.com, the video also features dancing monkeys, jumping frogs and of course an appearance from the David Crowder*Band themselves.

The video portraying a love story made completely of LITE-BRITE ® pegs was done solely by hand. Even details such as the piano playing in the background and the monkeys beating a drum in perfect time was done free of digital affects and computer animation. It took 2,150 man hours, 1,200 LITE-BRITE ® images, 83 friends and 148 pizzas to complete the video.

“SMS (Shine)” is debuting exclusively this week with VEVO.com.

The premiere of the music video comes just days after the first ever “David Crowder*Band Fantastical Church Music Conference” attended by more than 2,000 people in their native Waco, TX. The conference’s stellar line-up included Louie Giglio, Rob Bell, Matt Redman, Francis Chan, Matt Maher, Jars of Clay, Leeland, Gungor, Derek Webb and more.

]]> September 10-11, 2010 the sounds of some of the top Christan music acts return to the Magic Kingdom for the 28th annual Night of Joy. I have attended Night of Joy on and off since the very 1st Annual Night of Joy! I am so glad that it is back in the Magic Kingdom after a 2 year stint a Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

This year’s line-up of Christian music all-stars that are performing include:
Friday, September 10 Chris Tomlin, David Crowder Band, Casting Crowns, BarlowGirl, Francesca Battistelli, Group 1 Crew, Tenth Avenue North, and Sidewalk Prophets

Saturday, September 11 mercyme, Third Day, Family Force 5, Smokie Norful, Red, LeCrae, Day of Fire

From 7 p.m. until 12:30 a.m. each night – after regular Magic Kingdom hours – the special-ticket event will feature live performances on several stages throughout the park.  In addition, guests can experience some of the park’s most popular attractions during Night of Joy hours.
Musically, the acts add up to a lineup that runs the spectrum from Rock, Hip Hop and R&B … to Pop, Adult Contemporary and Gospel – continuing a tradition that has been a hallmark of Night of Joy since 1983 when the event began.
