Plus, 4 of the 5 things in the box were full sized beauty products! Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Beauty Box 5 went along with the pink theme with their box, which was cute.

What is Beauty Box 5?

Beauty Box 5 is a subscription beauty box that includes 4-5 products each month. Subscribers can pay monthly, quarterly or annually and prices vary between $8.25 and $12.00 a month depending on how you are paying for your subscription. If you like trying new beauty products but don’t want to break the bank, give beauty Box 5 a try.

What was in the October 2015 Beauty Box 5 Shipment?

Happy Face Makeup Cleansing Cloth-This amazing, machine-washable cloth removes all of your makeup with just water! Wet the cloth, wipe your face and cleanse your face gently. $3.99
Pink Rhinestone Kabuki Brush-This pretty little thing is super soft and is perfect for mineral foundations, bronzer, powder or blush. It will become a staple in your cosmetic bag. $25.00
Perfect Pout Long Lasting Lip Balm Stick-This was my only let down in this month’s box. I use lip balm every day and this one wasn’t long lasting, I had to reapply often and while it looks tinted there really wasn’t any color. $4.99
Knotty Hair Ties-I have other Knotty hair ties and I love them! They prevent snags and breakage and they don’t dent your hair. They hold my hair well and I’m happy to have some in pink. $4.00
Nubar Nail Polish Mini-The color, Pinktober, which was created with Nubar and Beauty Box 5, is a little soft for my personal taste but it is always nice to have another shade of pink in my nail polish arsenal. $4.99 for a full size bottle.

Even without counting the nail polish, the October Beauty Box 5 Subscription Box was worth $37.98 and subscribers received that for $12.00 or less! Beauty Box 5 is such a great deal and it would make a great holiday gift for the beauty product lover in your family.

What’s in the Beauty Box 5 July Box?

Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will add value to my readers.”The July 2015 Beauty Box 5 shipment is a hit with me. I love 3 of the products, and all 3 of them are full size with a value of over $25! One product I’m not at all interested in and honestly, the final product I haven’t tried yet. So let’s see what was in the box!

The Products I Love

Ofra LipGloss- While I admit the Natural color is a bit mild, I wore the lip gloss the other day and I liked it. It isn’t at all sticky. It is soft and creamy and may be worn alone or over lipstick to add a nice shine. Retail $12.95.

Ofra Lip Liner- The Mauve lip liner coordintated well with the Natural lip gloss. I love it when I get products that actually work well together. The lip liner goes on smooth and lasts a long time, adding additional definition to the lips. Retail $13.00.

Nanacoco Nail polish- I have reviewed several Nanacoco products and I like their nail polish. It goes on thick and smooth and it dries quickly. This bottle of Royal Family is a beautiful, rich purple. Retail $3.00

The Other Products

Love Life Skin Collection- I received 2 0.03 fl oz packets of Restorative Night Cream and 2 of Intensive Recovery Serum. They say it was created to help chemotherapy patients’ sensitive skin. It retails for $20-30 for a 1-1.7 oz bottle which is more than I am willing to spend on skin care.

Pur-lisse Flash Tattoos- Maybe it is my age but I just don’t get the reason behind the sparkly temporary tattoos for women. I have seen people wearing them and to me they look silly. I’ll be giving my packet to my daughter-in-law, maybe she will have fun with them on our upcoming cruise. Have you tried these? Would you? Retail $9.00.

December 2014 Beauty Box 5 Review

I dove right in to try out the products for you so that I could get this post up before the new year.

Starting on the top left we have the Jaqua Pink Champagne Hand & Body Lotion. While I am not a huge fan of this particular scent, I adore this lotion! I used it before bed and 18 hours and several hand washings later, my hands still feel silky smooth and not at all greasy. I think I’d like to try their Buttercream Frosting Scent! It is available in 8.5oz pump bottles for $22.00.

On the top right we have the Nanacoco Nail Polish. This month we get green sparkles. These would look great over a white or pearl nail polish. The bottom left is the Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Moisturizer. I have yet to try this because I don’t want to love it. It sells for $65.00 for 1.7oz! In the middle of the picture is the Lucky Number 6 Perfume which…was not a hit at the Schultz household. I put 1 spritz on my wrist and everyone said I smelled like an old lady. So much for that perfume, LOL!

Last we have the Absolute! New York Nail Polish Remover Pads. these arrived at the perfect time because it was past time for me to remove the nail polish from the wedding. It is always difficult removing the polish from a professional manicure but with a little rubbing, these cloths worked well. For me, one cloth did about 3 nails. I feel the cloths are a little small, but I know they are supposed to be portable so that is why they are so small. The nail polish remover worked well and left my nails feeling hydrated instead of dried out.
