Ok, I know this is not my usual Walt Disney World Wednesday post, but it is Disney related.

The winner of this contest wins:

A trip for eight to the WALT DISNEY WORLD® Resort! The trip package includes

  • roundtrip coach-class airfare for eight
  • four night stay at a WALT DISNEY WORLD® Resort hotel
  • round trip ground transfer for eight  between Orlando International Airport and the WALT DISNEY WORLD® Resort hotel via Disney’s Magical Express service
  • eight  five-day MAGIC YOUR WAY Tickets with Park Hopper® Option
  • eight Disney Family T-Shirts
  • three 8×10 commemorative family photos at selected theme park

To enter share an original family recipe that incorporates at least ¼ cup of Smucker’s jams, jellies, preserves, or fruit butter and the story behind how your recipe makes family celebrations special.

The recipe must have been passed down for at least two generations or is currently being passed on to a second generation.

Entries will be accepted from August 26 through October 12, 2009.

Contest finalist recipes will be selected and scored on taste, creativity, ease of preparation, appearance and nutritional balance, while the essays will be scored on relevance to theme, creative expression, and clarity.  After the submission phase, an online vote will determine which of five finalist recipes will win the grand prize.

The winner of last year’s contest, Karen Mangual, won America over with her mouth-watering “Nana’s Apple Butter Cake,” which has been passed down in her family for three generations.

To enter or read the complete rules visit Spreading Smucker’s Traditions. Good luck!!

I don’t know If I said it already but …Excellent site, keep up the good work. I read a lot of blogs on a daily basis and for the most part, people lack substance but, I just wanted to make a quick comment to say I’m glad I found your blog. Thanks, 🙂

    A definite great read..Tony Brown
