I appreciate an honest review. That’s what bloggers should be writing. Even if you didn’t write about it, my first thought when seeing the picture is that this wasn’t for me. I don’t like pin up girls and the names are degrading to women and are disgusting.

Yes, from the initial description it sounds perfectly fine for young girls. However, the image does appear to be a bit more racy than your typical product posts. I personally wouldn’t carry this around since I hope to be a teacher come fall. However, it might not be bad for around the house use.

Kathlene, Thanks for you comment. After writing this review Summer told me she pulled out her Silly Lips at school (public high school) and she got in trouble when a teacher saw the “racy” container. The teacher confiscated her Silly Lips and she had to go back after school to get it back and she was told not to bring it to school again.

I absolutely love this product!!! I have NEVER had an issue with it melting, I am in sales in Florida which means I am in and out of my car on a daily basis. Most of the time I leave it in my car in my purse and have never had an issue with it melting or making a mess. I never leave my purse in my car ALL day because it would ruin not just my Silly Lip balms but every other lipstick or balm I have in my purse, regardless of the price or product. Heat + anything wax based = potentially melting. As far as the “immodest images and suggestive names”, I don’t think they were meant to be taken so literally. Unless your teens live under a rock I bet they are exposed to racier images and terms every day. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions of course. It isn’t for everyone but I can assure you it is for ME! Love you Silly Lips. (edited by blog owner)
