I do a lot of cooking and baking and as much as I love those activities I hate cleaning up from them. Washing pots and pans is my least favorite kitchen chore. For many years that was Jordan’s chore 🙂 so I didn’t have to do it too often. Jordan didn’t seem to mind washing pots and pans, as long as I kept him supplied with Scotch-Brite Soap Dispensing Dishwands with Heavy Duty Scrubber Pads. Since that was the tool he requested, that was the tool I bought. Scotch-Brite Dishwands have been a staple in my kitchen for years. Now that Jordan is out of the house and I am back in charge of all dish washing chores, I use the dishwand too.
scotch-brite dishwandThere are several reasons we have been long-time users of the Scotch-Brite Dishwands:

  • They are economical-there are replacement heads available
  • You use your own dish soap
  • The wand dispenses the soap during cleaning
  • Your hands remain out of the dirty water
  • They are easy to use
  • The heavy duty scrubbing surface cleans without scratching
  • The teardrop shaped pads are designed to get into hard-to-reach corners
  • The scrubbing surfaces are safe for nonstick surfaces

As you can see in the video, I used the Dishwand to clean up from my Peppermint Patty Brownies. I hate getting my hands covered in the chocolatey water when I clean up from baking and with the Scotch-Brite Dishwand my hands stay clean.

I always use Scotch Brite, but haven’t tried the wand yet. I never thought about not getting my hands wet when using the wand. Hmm, I may give them a try.
