I have eaten at 3 of the 5 table service restaurants at Disney’s Hollywood Studios over the years. By far, my favorite is the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater. We first ate there many years ago on the advice of a friend. She said she liked Sci-Fi because it had good food and was a great place to cool off and relax on a hot Florida day. She was right! I have lost count of how many times we have eaten there. The last time was earlier this year on Ron’s 50th birthday trip.
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Atmosphere
When your party is called you are led by a car hop to your automo-booth or table. Most of the seating at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater is in cars which seat up to 6 adults, 2 per seat. There are picnic style tables in the back as well. On the walls you will see classic 50s Sci-Fi movie posters and memorabilia. Once you enter the soundstage the real excitement begins. The ceiling is filled with stars, the front of the room is a large movie screen showing clips from kitschy classic sci-fi movies. Since everyone is watching the movie clips, the restaurant is fairly quiet which is a nice change from the rest of the park.
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Menu
The menu consists of entrees ranging in price from $15-34.99. The full menu includes a full bar, appetizers, entrees, desserts and a full kid’s menu as well. Our favorite entree is the Fried Dill Pickles and our beverage of choice is the to-die-for Oreo Cookie Milk Shake! Some of our favorite entrees include the House-Smoked St Louis Style Pork Ribs, the Build-Your-Own Angus Burger and the Smoked Turkey Sandwich.
