I just watched the newest video from Ragu Mom’s the Word on Dinner called “When Dinner Gets Tough“. I’d love for you to pop over to their Facebook page and watch it and then leave me a comment here about your thoughts. Honestly, I disagreed with about 90% of the tips these moms shared and I’d love to get your opinion.
Also tonight (8/8) at 8pm EDT there will be a live chat on the Ragu Facebook page hosted by Audrey McClelland. During the chat we can all share our dinnertime stories and tips that work in our families when dinner gets tough. I plan to be in the chat and I hope you’ll be there too.

Um, bribing kids with toys to eat dinner? I don’t think so. Not in my house. You either eat dinner when we do or you go hungry. End of story. 🙂
We sit as a family to eat too! It’s a rule. And, the kids asked if they can be excused from the table.

Glad to hear I’m not alone! 🙂

Ketchup on everything? No way. And I will not buy them anything to get them to eat their food. They either eat whats there or dont eat at all til the next meal. Im with you Cindy I really disagree with a lot that these moms suggest.

I’ve got a kid with a genetic disorder that gets extremely ill when she doesn’t eat or drink. If ketchup or toys save me an ER visit and possible hospital stay, I’m for it.

Well, I’m not a mom yet. So, I hate to say what I will or won’t do when I don’t really know. Haha! However, I don’t much care about the idea to bribe my children.

I had to resort to bribing my daughter to eat because she wasn’t eating, was drinking Pediasure and was losing weight. Now, she tastes new things and has a healthy appetite.

Great post. I’m not a food briber but do ask that they take 1 bite of something new.
