I received one or more of the products or services mentioned for free in the hope that I would mention it on my blog. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
This will be Mushu’s fourth Christmas and yes, she does celebrate with us. She has a beautiful Christmas dress that she will wear to both Christmas Eve with the in-laws and Christmas Day with my side of the family. No, I won’t make her stay dressed up for long, but she doesn’t seem to mind it. Our pets are a part of our family and we do put a few special gifts under the tree for our fur baby.

I found some interesting statistics on how pet owners celebrate Christmas with their pets:

  • 54% of pets have a Christmas stocking
  • 34% have a special pet-safe advent calendar
  • 29% will receive a Christmas card
  • 16% of owners polled have their pets pictured on their Christmas cards

I have never heard of a pet-safe advent calendar, have you? I’m also kind of amazed that almost 30% of people said that their pet received a Christmas card, really? Who is it from, the Vet or the doggie down the street? Mushu has given Valentine’s to her neighborhood friends so I guess it isn’t as crazy as it sounds.

Christmas is a good time to introduce a new toy, bed or maybe even a new treat. Mushu got an early gift when the Nutro Moist-N-Chewy Bites arrived the other day. These treats are 100% natural but they are not gluten free so these will be extra special, occasional treats for Mushu.

Mushu wasn’t sure about these treats at first, they have a gummy texture. She actually spit the first one out 3 times before she ate it. Once she ate it, she was following me around the house begging for more. Just luck us, sometimes we need to give something new a fair try because we might just like it!

Maybe your pet doesn’t need a new kind of treat, well Chewy.com has all sorts of pet gear, beds and toys to make your pet’s Christmas merry and bright!

Merry Christmas!
