I am not a vegetable eater. I have a lot of food texture issues and many vegetables fall into those textures. I am trying to add more vegetables into my diet so that requires me to find acceptable ways of cooking them. I know green beans are staples in many homes. I grew up eating canned green beans and I have fed them to my kids. Until recently I had never tried to cook fresh green beans. I decided it was time to make some Parmesan Roasted Green Beans to go along with some delicious steaks that had been rubbed with my Steakhouse Rub.
I was delighted with how easy these Parmesan Roasted Green Beans were to make. Ron and I both enjoyed them and I will add them to our menu plan rotation. I think next time I will pair them with my 3 Ingredient Caramelized Italian Dressing Chicken.
These easy Parmesan Roasted Green Beans are a delicious addition to any grilled meat.
- 1 pound green beans fresh
- 2 TBS grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 TBS Panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 tsp Kosher salt
- 2 TBS olive oil
Preheat oven to 400°
Rinse green beans well and dry them.
Place the green beans in a large mixing bowl.
In a small mixing bowl, mix together the cheese, breadcrumbs, salt, and olive oil.
Pour the cheese mixture over the green beans, toss to coat.
Spread the green beans on a baking sheet. Pour any excess of the cheese mixture over the green beans.
Roast for 15-20 minutes, flipping the green beans halfway through cooking.
